I'm in a little bit different situation than most. I have the cash to pay for a used exotic but I don't feel I have the income to drive one. I recently bought a new business and even thought it is showing a profit most of the proceeds of the business are going to pay loans. I feel strange driving a 100k car and showing very little profit on my schedule C. I'm wondering If any of you can relate to my situation and If so how did you handle things.

I like your thinking. It's one thing to afford the car but another to own, operate and maintain it. Perhaps, you could buy a more inexpensive car and use the remaining balance as a maintenance reserve? There are a plethora of sub-100K, even fantastic sub-50K and 30K Ferrari's. Just a thought.

You guys telling us how stupid it is to finance our exotics should take the bus and you can have the brinks truck follow the casket to the funeral home. Life flies by….do what makes you happy. I have a Lambo Gallardo Spyder, Bentley Continental GT, 911 Turbo S, Ferrari 488 and a McLaren 720S. (And a Ferrari 296GTS coming in May, took a loan out on each one of them. They are all currently paid for and I’ll take a loan out on the 296, if all is good, have it paid off in 30 months and I have a million plus in assets that I have enjoyed immensely…sure I could have had more money by leaving it in the bank (how much does one actually need in the bank? I never let the balance go below 7 figures) but how much fun is that??
