Like they say 'driving a slow car fast is more fun than driving a fast car slow'! It'll be a blast! Prepare to allow extra time wherever you go in the mini as everyone will want to chat about it (and everyone's fathre/grandfather/uncle will have owned one in the day).

Beautiful! I take it you're sourcing the polished S/S trim and not the plastic. I love a cloth harness!

I agonised over acrylic for both of them but decided on the more durable 2 pack..Some things in my mind you have to move with the times and technology..

Love 2 Pak, hate clear over base. I like solid paint that you can polish the shjt out of, and touch up stone chips.

I feel your pain. I had my 246 done with acrylic for the period look but it shrunk and faded and was altogether a punish. Next time, 365 Queen, I went with 2 pack. The painter and I wet sanded it after a week and got it perfectly flat - no peel anywhere. 30 years later, it still looked good.

And clear over base just looks wrong on old cars.

I agree Ian..Even as a purist I think sometimes you have to go with technology..It make ownership more painless down the line!
