That’s great to hear. My Ferrari dealer also is a joy to work with. Salesman texts just to check in on how my family is doing. We go to dinner when I swing into town. And I’m a small fry nobody compared to some clients. I think if you just treat people with respect it’s all good, both ways.

People generalise a lot when it comes to these car camps I would take hearsay with a pinch of salt, I can see how it would be hard when some proved the stereotype correct as soon as you asked the questions but that's not the norm.

I have cars from a few brands and I have learned that deep down the real guys will always keep it real in spite of which hat they wear, true car guys love all cars and brands, all you need to do is find them while sifting through the sea of arrogant and pretentious internet trolls which can get quite tiresome all you need is to be patient and have thick skin.

As for the F296 I genuinely believe you can not get a better model as your introductory model to Ferrari world. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Glad you stuck around and gave a few of the good people here a chance.
Just a warning don’t visit the PR forum or you will never want to join the brand.

Great info... now I'm looking at F8s also which seem to be in the similar price range we are focusing on, but it great haveing two options. It odd but I'm leaning away from the McLarens and spoke and went to a few larger Exotic Dealers who sell both and they said a bit less issues with the Ferraris generally and not so many electroic issue, but bang for the buck on McLarens is better...but I do not want to deal with as many issues. Now just looking at specs that are work for me. I was really against Red initially since its so "ferrari" but jeez there are alot available with nice specs compared to other colors in F8s at least.

FWIW, aesthetics aside because that’s personal, I’d never go F8 over 296. The 296 is a whole league above in sound, dynamics, and speed.

I would tend to agree with you honestly from a broader perspective, but I see some issues with the 296, for my particular application, after doing probably OCD levels of research over the last week and visiting some dealers. Aside from the F8 looking a bit meaner and being a little better for marketing for us, I just found that the value threads about the 296, as well as my research proved out that there is a massive over-saturation of the 296 for sale which could create a much larger depreciation for that model over the F8 in my situation. From what I understand the F8 has a solid motor for Tracking that is proven out to a degree, and I will be doing that to some degree. So, in my circumstance I could own something like that for a year, see if I really enjoy the Ferrari experiance and move up if I choose next year, as one of the Chat members said might be a good idea. In either circumstance it is a win win for me as a new potential customer to Ferrari.

All about your use case. I’d definitely drive both first. The F8 was pretty underwhelming for me.

The 296 is next level on the track compared to the F8.

There is no way I'd go F8 over a 296 but hey we are all different.

Well that would be welcome because I will track what I get. Do you have one and do you track it?

Tuesday I fly out to check out a 296 that I like. We'll see where that ends up.

You might in my position. I think both cars are great for what we intend to do with them. But, I personally like the look of the F8 better, its a bit agressive, while the 296 is prettier. I've spent about 3 days at some local dealers within a few hours of me recently. but from a marketing perspective for my company the F8 is factually a more dramatic car with its hood and with the beautiful V8 on display in the rear. We do a booth at SEMA with one sometimes two cars in it. usually Race or Builders Cars. So I view this from a marketing perspective firstly. I now know after my research and talking to the sales staffs that the 269 was developed to be the superior car and is, but the fact is Ferrari Chat is a bubble, and the majority of product buying persons do not own Ferraris or know one model from the other (yes I said it, and blastphemy to people on FC) but do love to look at these beautiful Super Cars. So I look at this first Ferrari purchase as a relationship to company image not solely personal desire. Our product is in so many Super Cars that we should have one ourselves. We did that with the GT3RS to amazing success for our brand, but I wanted to get a Super Car this time. So our use is for marketing/ business use with Tradeshows/Tracking it a bit and informing those about our brand. I won't care about a little performance loss to the 296... because I can jump into either of them and a year later if I find the ownership of a Ferrari is great I can get upgrade or try another model.

With all the being said, I'm looking at a 296s more now, simply because there are many more available and I found a few with specs that I require....probably get hit with more depreciation, but oh well it will be a badass Car. Unfortunately, I couldn't find an F8 that had a majority of what I wanted, and they are literally half as many for sale.... but I'm not bummed at all. They both will work.

I am sorry but I can not make any sense of your post, I thought you want to buy a car for yourself and needed feedback on that, now you need a marketing car to market to people who don't own Ferrari cars ? Am I reading that correctly? either way good luck with whatever decision you are making.

Well have fun on the tyrack.
I have tracked all of my Ferrari's. That includes the Pista, 296 (GTS), 488 Challenge, 812, etc.
So, I can safely say the 296 is vastly superior over the Pista. I was blown away just how much better the ride is in terms of stabiliity and feedback. The Pista bfelt wobbly compared to the 296; and the Pista is pretty damn stiff!

Well I guess we just don't understand each other at all, but no biggie,as you say all different types. You also confused me quite a bit when you wrote " I'm sorry, I cannot make any sense of your post..." I couldn't tell if you were just being snippy and trying to be passive aggressive, or for real. Sorry I can't tell with this FC crowd.

I thought my post was quite clearly stated. I originally posted questions to learn about the 269, to make sure the owners weren't having too many issues with a car I liked, and then above I posted that I like the looks of the F8 better (another car I'm looking at) for marketing better. Was this really confusing to you? As an FYI I can do both, and its awesome! I can Drive and Track the car that I end up getting... and I can also make products for it and use the Car for marketing.

I can safely assume you have heard of Novitech, Fabspeed and other aftermarket companies and do this ALL the time. Yet, for me it appeared you were acting like you don't understand how I can ask about a Car and also use it for Marketing and Driving/Tracking. So I was thinking your just trying to be sort of snippy. Now if I have this all wrong and your coming from a different place I DO APOLOGIZE. I'm a bit defensive now on FC due to some responses.

Anyway, thanks for the wishes, I'll post the car I get later, but I'm pretty much all caught up on knowing about the 296 and F8s... so looking forward to my exprience with whatever I get. Then I get to go to some Ferrari meets that my Westlake Dealer told me about and see if there are as many (asshats) in real life as on the forums....that was a joke! But I already know the answer, there will actually be mainly very cool people who won't puff their chest out or judge openly like people will on forums, been doing this to long to take offense.

I think you have to chill not everyone is your enemy, remember who had your back at the beginning, anyway as I said do as you wish, there is no need for our conversation to continue because you seem defensive and think that everyone is against you on FC. Take care I hope you can find what you want and live happily ever after.

Well, Contract signed, Money wired, now just waiting to get it from Midwest to California.

I was nervous flying to check this car out... only because I just didn't want to see it and be underwhelmed in person becuase Sliver is a hard color to judge in photos. But as I was walking up to it my mind was saying "holy **** that thing is bad ass!" because that is how my mind talks in my head.... but I said to the sales person, "that looks really nice".

Anyway test drive happened, the Car was everything people say, just a fantastic car. Drove the F8 before this so was able to A/B them and I can say, (to me) it was a significantly better feeling car than the F8, more spritely handling, and more solid build feel as some said on this forum already.

My Car is a 2022 dealer demo with 4200 miles and it was one of the lower priced ones in the market but had a much higher spec than most on the Market which I assume was the miles deduction. I told them I'm not sure about the quality overall since the 296 is fairly new , and the Hybrid Drive Train since its so new... but the Dealership said they are providing 2 years of the Factory Warranty, not the lower coverage Power15 warranty, they said I get Services until 2030, and Hybrid Drivetrain coverage to 2030, and they said it has only been a dealer owned demo car and serviced at ever interval, and they have a new Spider as the new DEMO car. So I thought, well I'm covered for two years with Factory Warranty so I can feel pretty safe about Tracking and driving it alot. But, this showed me they were willing to show trust in the Car by giving the extra year and 2 overall years of full factory warranty. So that was a MASSIVE point in favor of Ferrari for me. McLaren was telling me on the used 2023 750s I was looking at, that I would be charged roughly $6500 to $7000 a year to extend the warranty another year, and it wasn't the full coverage warranty like I'm getting with Ferrari. I also already knew McLaren required that you take the McLarens in for an pre and post inspection for Tracking it at a cost of $400 to $600 each inspection, yet Ferrari said they don't care if I track it or not. So in the end the company I wanted to go with just got blown out of the water by the company I thought was actually a company I wouldn't want to deal with.
    Live and learn,

Is that slight green tint from the trees and grass, or in the color? I saw super cool mint (light) green one at a dealership in San Diego with white interior... in my head I thought I wouldn't like that combo, but in real life it was quite amazing... Colors really can make or break a look.
