SF 90 XX

I have finally received the 3rd build photo of my incoming XX. There’s often a significant lag time between the factory build photos being taken and the ultimate upload to the app. The car is on a truck to the dealership now — I thought that I might have the car before I received the third build photo ☺️ I am beyond excited!

Beautiful spec and congrats on its imminent arrival. Mine is also currently in production, but if the impending tariff is enacted, I will not take the car.

Thank you to everyone for the kind words. I should be picking the car up in a couple of weeks (after PDI and PPF) and I’ll post my driving impressions (both road and hopefully very soon at COTA). This car will be driven regularly — I put over 3500 miles (with some track time) on my SF90AF, and I specced the XX with the front axle lift so that I will have even more opportunities to drive the XX around town.

I know that the SF90 isn’t everyone’s cup of tea (it seems that lots of people with minimal, if any, seat time have some very loud — and negative — opinions), but I have truly loved mine. The SF90AF has been the favorite car I’ve ever owned, and I cannot be more excited for this car.

 

Congrats. I'm still waiting for the factory to pull my allocation from dealer. Love SF90AF it won't be going anywhere.

Thank you! It’s the non-metallic Azzurro La Plata (with the orange livery accents as a nod to the Gulf theme). We’ve had a 296GTS in Azzurro La Plata and we currently have a Roma coupe in Azzurro La Plata. So the XX will match our Roma.

 

Azzurro La Plata is a 1960's paint color. No metallic component to the color in the past. It will probably look like the picture below as a pure color without the color shift that metallic colors often exhibit. With that said Ferrari did create a metallic version of the old Blu Pozzi paint so anything is possible from them!

Ferrari now makes a metallic Azure Laplata - 99.99% sure

 

Ferrari does make a metallic Azzurro La Plata and it’s beautiful. I’ve seen it in person on a 296GTB and it’s a very pretty color — particularly in the sun. I am partial to the non-metallic color but it’s simply a matter of personal taste. This will be our third Ferrari in this color, so I’m clearly not an unbiased commenter. ☺️

I can confirm the met ALP color, I've seen it a few times. It's very nice, but it shifts the color tone slightly darker, which, to my eyes makes it a little less special. On the positive side, it does give you a little better definition on the body panels that metallic colors usually provide.

Agree. I saw a Bianco Italia XX Spider 2 weeks ago as I wanted to check how white looks on the car (mine is Bianco Sanae, expected in a couple of months). I must say I was very surprised with the presence of the car. It looks very different to a regular SF90; I normally don’t like overly aggressive looking cars, but this one carries it extremely well and manages to look really beautiful at the same time. Add the amazing performance and you get a package that justifies in my opinion the high price. Well done to Ferrari, this looks like a great success
