I find the best way to dust is to get a girls large make up brush... that is really soft, and use that... it does not get caught in the small latches etc... works well.

It's a big model at 1:8 scale but still, it's a lot of money !!

Just a bit of progress on the 250 GTO Agora model. I finally have 4 wheels built... overall not too bad, but glad that is over. if they send a spare wheel... I'll be building that later! below is the body on the wheels and mocked up... a bit more detailing going on, I have the roof section just sitting there for now.

No spare wheel provided :( aniway, a front wheel doesn't fit in the trunk ! I simply interpreted a bracket for this ghost wheel, with a strap.
I also detailed the fuse box, wired the battery, and put a foam filter in one ventilation duct and a flap in the other. The rearview mirror is also modified to match that of a GTO.

Very nice well done! I was going to do the fuses as well, and add more wiring details. I did that on my 917 kit and it looks really good - even though you cant see much of it. I like the battery you did there ... did you make the terminals or are they in the kit?

I started working on the Agora GTO...Stage 5 of Pack 1...and found I am missing a sizable amount of parts from the sealed bag. When the packages arrived every month I did check to see that all the numbered stages were in the box, but I did not open all the bags, which I probably should have done.

Any one else have this problem with missing parts? I suppose I can contact Agora but I expect it will be a while before I get the parts, if I get the parts...

Yes. Unfortunately same problems here in France. In my last pack (11) 4 sealed bags were missing ! You have to make the request to Agora and then wait about fifteen days for receipt. In addition, these missing parts are shipped from England instead of Germany and we therefore have to pay customs fees. Fortunately Agora reimburses quickly.

Thanks! Just got a reply from Agora, they will ship the missing parts from their UK warehouse in 10--14 days...so factor in shipment to NY, probably looking at 3--4 weeks before I can complete Pack 01 :)

I received today steps 9 to 14 for the 330 P4. We are working on the engine for now. Many little parts and level of detail much higher than the GTO !

So I'm about 95% done on the GTO and I have to say it looks pretty good. its not perfect, but for the money it was a good buy. The wheels were the most difficult part... the lights and all that... are for me a bit of overkill, I almost never use them, but as for the look I think its come out pretty good. I have a couple of pieces that i either lost or have to find in my box, but otherwise its pretty much done...

I should have got the last box for my Lotus build several days ago. It has not showed up and they are showing it delivered. I can’t believe this is happening on the last part of the build. I am waiting to hear back from the company

Thanks. As already said, this kit is much more detailed than the GTO. However, I still make improvements when I deem it necessary. For example, all the spark plug wires and fuel lines are changed to thinner ones than those offered by Altaya. I also made changes to the throttle control, with a metal axle instead of the plastic part. I polished the body of the shock absorbers, and I applied various juices to bring out certain details.
Later, I will remove all the electrical connections which are, for me, unnecessary and which interfere with the realism of the assembly.

I did it on the Bugatti Atlantic. Ok for the first pics, but after 2 or 3 uses, everything broke down !
Furthermore, unusable when the car is in the display case.

My Father (RIP) started collecting model cars in the mid 50s, mostly 1/43 scale. His collection numbered over 4,200.
He also collected the larger Burago, a few odd scales and six Pocher models which I built (assembled) for him.
I acquired the Pocher kits from a guy who was selling out his hobby shop - all six for $100!!
The were assembled as follows: ALFA Spyder, ALFA Corsa, FIAT, Yellow Rolls Royce, Black Rolls Royce and Mercedes - photos in that order.
Please excuse the quality of some of the photos. They were taken through glass cases.

This is another De Agostini model I just completed. It came out really nice, and was pretty good going together. I remember seeing this car live in person at Estoril in 85. I was there in the pouring rain seeing Senna for his first win. Also saw him at Imola that year running out of gas. Pic below is him at Detroit, but I think its from 86 not 85.
