So like most FF's my front bumper was scraped up so I paid $1500 to get it repainted and pristine. Shelled out another $700 for scrape armor so I would not have any more scrapes. Drilled the holes in the bumper to install the kit, really did not want to but wanted the protection. What as waste of $2200. Scraped on first use, exiting my driveway! Reached out to scrape armor and this was their reply:

Our armor protects the underside of the vehicle as it sits flush to the edge of the bumper as indicated on our site. There is no way it would protect against the front of the bumper and it doesn’t wrap up the front of the vehicle.

This is the underside of the bumper before the front edge! and their other kits do wrap up to the front edge of the bumper like the Dodge Charger kit to protect the exact damage that happened to mine, I guess they just don't care to update their FF kit and don't care that this was a total waste of money for me.

Beware before you make the same mistake I did.

What did you expect? Seems pretty obvious what kind of protection you get with this kind of product.

With all due respect, but that was foreseeable in advance I think? I don't see any added value in this!

Exactly my point no added value by adding this $700 piece of plastic. Not sure why they are claiming it will help when it does not.

I have ZERO affiliation with ScrapeArmor but the claim made on this thread is absurd. The damage shown is on a surface that has nothing to do with where the product would protect. As a small business owner I find it incredibly frustrating when a customer goes to vent online because a product could not protect them from their own stupidity. The scratch on that bumper is clearly on a near vertical surface. Not at all what the scrape armor was designed to protect. Time to man up that this damage is on you.

Of course the damage is on me because they are not going to stand behind their product. I wonder why their dodge charger kit wraps up to the front edge of the bumper? And why do they say it protects to the front edge of the bumper when it does not? I have worked why many small businesses and any time there is an issue all of them have stepped up to the plate and would have done something about it. What is the point of a product that prevents only have the scrapes to the underside of a bumper?

Scrape armor - get protection for half the scratches to the bottom of your bumper. Sounds great.

You Strike me as the person that would complain of how ugly the product looked if it wrapped around the front of the bumper ruining the aesthetics of the car. There is always a way to make yourself a victim. Perhaps next time step up and purchase a car with the lift or use it.
I am not affiliated with Scrape Armour, but we have installed hundreds of their products, and they are by far the best on the market.

I would gladly install it if they revised the kit to wrap to the front edge as they stated this is supposed to protect. My review stands as is the kit for the FF is useless!

As an impartial observer, I went to their website and from what I can see, this is the product you ordered - https://www.scrapearmor.com/collections/ferrari/products/ferrari-ff-2011-2016

Nowhere in their verbiage, and especially in their photos, do I see that their product protects any part of the bumper, especially the part scraped on your bumper.

I would never buy this product simply because it only protects the underneath part that nobody except your mechanic ever sees. They do say it helps you slide off an obstacle easier, but frankly I don't see that as having any advantage or value.

Its a great product and protects the bumper from flexing to the point it cracks, which is pretty easy to do if you make a mistake on your angle of approach. It's not meant to protect vertical surfaces of your bumper anymore than it can prevent rock chips in the windshield. OP doesn't understand how this product works and what its good for.

Judging by how hard you scraped your bumper, that Scrape Armor probably kept your bumper from cracking which would cost a lot more than $1500 to fix. How did you even get that damage to the vertical portion of your bumper? I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before.

its not the vertical part. this the bottom side of this lip. another picture attached. I don't see how the bumper could crack or that the scrape armor did anything here. I had just installed this and was exiting my driveway and expected if anything scraped would have been the scrape armor but nope, not a scratch on the scrape armor but the bottom of the lip was scratched. I was inching out of the driveway.

I'm not trying to be argumentative with you, but the fact we can see the damage without having to go underneath the car means its either a vertical surface or somewhat of a vertical surface. That's not what scrape armor is used for on these cars. The last attachment you posted is exactly what scrape armor can protect, the underside of the car's bumper. Anything you can see bending down or standing up is not what scrape armor is there to protect. It's strictly the underbelly of the bumper. Nothing above the edge of that plate will be protected. You must have a driveway that has a very steep angle where it meets the road. I used to have one of those as well. I had to take a very angled approach into and out of the driveway.

It is what it is now, nothing I can do now, just meant to post this as a warning to other FF owners that if they are looking into buying this product to protect against scrapes going in and out of parking lots and driveways it will not help. And also I feel a need to warn others of companies who claim "Love it of we will fully refund you" and then when you try to contact them when you do not love it they will not return your calls or emails ? Judging by the responses here I guess all of you are ok with this?

I wouldn't be ok with no refund on a warranty like that. If you bought it on your credit card, dispute the charge. It's pretty clear from your screen shot that they give an unconditional guaranty. You'll want to send that to the credit card company along with your dispute.

Yea it’s fine, I don’t want to go that far. Just wanted other forum members to know, it’s not worth drilling your bumper and paying to install this when you will still get scrapes.

Dissenting opinion here, but I had this installed at the dealer on my Lusso and it saved my bumper many a time. The area of damage you show isnt touched by the protective plastic so not sure how you could blame the Scrapearmor folks

They offer a love it or we will refund you guarantee but won’t honor it. If you promise something and then won’t even respond that to me seems like dishonest business practices. I never said their product for other vehicles was not good but just the one they offer for the FF could have been designed better similar to the Charger one and could have prevented this damage. As the product is designed to protect against scrapes you get exiting and entering driveways and they show diagrams of the angles of the car and driveway I thought they would have done their calculations correctly and designed it such a way that only that part of the skid plate would make contact and they bumper would not. My question remains if you offer a love it or we will refund it guarantee why would they not honor it?
