I still struggle with the various different shades of black on this car…

    Ask about transitional carbon?
Ferrari is pushing - last mtg they were hoping to get CF wheels.
VIP's requests granted then slowly moves to TM then Atelier - downside of an early spec.

    Thank you.
    3% may be imperceptible IRL.
I consider it a very interesting option, because from a distance the carbon texture looks like the texture of Plexiglass, which has fine stripes.
The CF rear blades also greatly enhance the spec in my opinion.

    Thank you for the info.
Do you know what wheel design this will be?
The 12C is 21'' in size in both wheel models. Until now, Ferrari did not have any 21'' CF wheels. It must be something new.

Just getting caught up. I was really worried until this. We did full exterior carbon including the front.

On the Rosso colors topic - another one to check out is Rosso Portofino. Also a triple layer red that is very close to Magma. I think Magma is a four layer red that is now $39,000 USD. If you are looking for vibrancy, especially when the sunlight hits it - Magma is probably the top choice, if you can justify the price. Just getting a little out of hand with the price of paints nowadays. Lots of Ferrari dealers will certainly note that it is a special red and what it cost, but on the secondary market I do not feel you recoup the price as to many buyers it’s just a another shade of red. I personally try to be somewhat reasonable on the colors for the regular cars, but would spend up for the VS models.

Same. First one was Rossi mugello and second portofono. Both beautiful but I like metallic paints more.

I have cars in Imola and Magma. If you enjoy quality paints, there is a big difference between Imola and Magma. As well as Fuoco.

Imola is red with pink/purple undertones. Magma is a metallic cherry red. Very different. In the sun, it is obvious. In the shade or at nighttime, hard to tell. I have never gotten a compliment on my Imola 296GTB for the paint. For the design, yes. But I got plenty of compliments on my Fuoco paint on my 296GTS (with the roof up). Also, plenty of comments on my Magma paint on 812C. Magma is a great, aggressively colored paint. There is also Maranello, which is like Magma with a shortened color range but with slightly more depth. If you really want a paint to differentiate your car, pick any of these 3 paints over the Imola. It is very difficult to tell in pictures because of the camera used, settings, time of day, etc. And then there is the monitor that people are viewing it on which has its own colorspace and display quality/range. On monitor, you can only get a sense.

The Daytona SP3 launch car was a Rosso Magma. If you look at the video of when it was on the track, that is in shade. It will look like Rosso Mugello with more depth because it is very cloudy out. With any sun, it is deep, metallic cherry red. I would look for pics of the same car in sunny conditions online. Also, fluoroscent lighting distorts the color you will see online.

Great 'hands on' details on the topic of rosso paint color characteristics! Rosso Libano is another interesting color with some hints of blue...

I think that the designers over thought these black trim colors, too

I think I finally understand the decision to make the black trim adjacent to the Daytona stripe a different black. Otherwise the Daytona stripe would no longer be a clean stripe but a different shape losing some of its design power?

I wanted to get the side mirrors in black, but I am completely lost on whether they would need to be carbon to match the other carbon parts, or just pained in black - but which one?
In the end, I gave up and they will be rosso corsa, just like the rest of the car...

I did too. Study the nose design of the F80.
Give into what the designers had decided upon.

The news is this hopefully won’t be the last V12
I think the USA will allow ICE engines for a few years beyond 2035
