Front trunk lights don't work 488...

Noticed it today when I was cleaning the car. They worked before. When I had the car in for service they adjusted the front latch maybe they did something. You know the old... ever since. I looked down in the front latch area and everything looks good. Saw a small micro switch and pushed it forward but nothing happened. Anything else I can check for?

 

I also noticed when I open the front trunk the indicator on the dash doesn't show red denoting it's open. Of course, both doors and engine compartment will show red when they are open. I'm pretty sure the micro switch when the trunk is open sends a ground to trigger the dash light and turn the compartment lights on. It might be defective. Who knows. I'm usually wrong anyways.

Does your indicator light on your dash when the trunk is open? Also, I read of someone who had the same problem in a 458. Apparently 458/488/F8 all use the same latch. He found a connector that had come unplugged near the latch. He said it was extremely difficult to fish around down there and reconnect it. I checked down in mine and it's impossible to really see what's going on down there. The only way to really get at it is to remove the trunk liner/bucket which I don't want to do.
