    Ow. The agony of de feet, the wrist, the knees...

    My knees aren't much happier than yours -
    Osgood Schlatter's Condition manifests itself upon some folks such as myself during growth spurts (12-16, usually) & makes you keenly aware of your knees - usually the pain subsides, but in my case - some symptoms remain. Such as pain. OS isn't repairable by surgery.

    Just to give an idea of how well I know the symptoms, 2 years ago I diagnosed Osgood Schlatter's in a friend of mine's daughter. Thing is, she gave a 1 minute description via Internet Messenger - and resides in New Zealand. I''m in L.A.
    Their doctor took 2 months to figure out what her knee problem was. The doctor's diagnosis was the next day, and he was shocked that a layman nailed it, let alone in 1 minute via IM from a world away. Or so I am told.
    As a side bonus, I blew both platellas out while skiing in '83 - immobilizers on both for 6 months. Fun.

    Do you slice?

    Best you can, given the knee braces (after all, you're wearing them for a reason) - Stick yer butt out.

    Straighten the shoulders. Not describing the tilt - but the direction.

    Sticking the butt out frees your hips, as your hips are your pivot - IF they're free. If they're not free, expect inconsistency, lower distance, higher scores & a hefty bar tab. Don't overdo the butt/back effort, though - if done improperly, your back'll hurt too.

    But often overlooked, and an easier fix for any ill will you have towards that little white ball is the following:
    To see how far off your shoulder lineup is, "address" the ball as you normally do, then have someone put a club from point to point across the front of your shoulders. Though it feels like your shoulders already are pointing straight ahead,this simple exercise will allow you to see where your swing is really pointed, which causes the ball to turn into a screwball about halfway towards your target. Once your shoulders are straight, your slice will disappear.

    Doing those 2 things will improve your game and confidence. Just don't tell your opponents how and why you're winning most of the side bets now.

    I had a problem with my fingernails and saw 3 doctors and 2 dermatology specialists that came up blank. I went to the library and did some reading. I found the right book and it looked like psoriasis to me. Went back to the doctors and they were like "Oh yeah, psoriasis, classic case."

    Wax;

    This is the direct Quote my doctor told myself.

    "Rob i have good news and bad news. The good news is that your knees are OK. The bad news is if you were 90 years of age. Unfortunatly you are to young for a knee replacement."

    I do have a slicing problem but it is more of a snap slice than a normal slice. For it is the fact that my left arm is 4 inches shorter than my right, This puts massive side spin on the ball. There i was teeing off i was actualy aiming torards the houses behind myself and ball landed on the right edge of the fairway. Before my shoe started to fall apart i was on a 5 hole par streak after that i had to club up and swing slow and gental to keep my feet in place. Even though my team finished last in the tourney I consider it a moral victory since it should have been much worse.
