I removed them from the unit. It's a pain, but doable. You have to disassemble the housing to get them off, btw. They'd don't pull off. Only way to paint them cleanly due to the little plastic indicator.

I was debating on whether to put the lift switch there or on the left side of the dash. This area seemed more convenient and easier to reach. It's by far the best thing I've done.

CF base looks really good, think I'm adding it to my 'gotta get one' list

They never made a 6spd 16M, so if 'only if it was OEM' is your concern, you're way outside that boundary! ;)

I like the VHT expoxy spray paint for suspension/chassis that you can get at the local auto parts store. It’s got a nice matte finish to it and is pretty durable.

Car is now with Tommy who owns RetroSpec in San Pedro. They service a lot of Ferrari and Porsche. He did my services when I had my 360 and did my last service on this one which was a big one. He is the one that did my carbon plenum, variators, valve cover gaskets, fuel injectors, engine mounts, o2 sensor, and all fluids. I really like how clean his work is, everything is back exactly how it’s supposed to be. I work on my own cars so I can tell/see it. Some mechanics you can tell by the work on how it’s put back together. He cleans everything in the area he works on the job is just clean. I highly highly recommend him for anyone looking for an Indy. My buddy who services his CS and Scud recommended me to him and I’m thankful.
So this time he’s doing my starter, some exhaust work, and new brakes. I couldn’t stand the tiny calipers so I got 16m calipers with the bigger 398mm Scud rotors. 16m brake booster and 16m front hubs because of the bigger rotors. While in there we got new hill engineering ball joints, new scud flambloc’s, new hill tie rods and new hub wheel bearings. Along with a 16m rear anti sway bar. I like how he lays everything down…he’s just well put together.

Awesome upgrade. My red calipers are one of the things that I don’t care for. I feel like yellow just fits a red car so much better.

what a difference on those rotors and calipers to see side by side like that

all those improvements will be fantastic and felt

nice to see the organization, that is like someone who is working on their own car.

    great stuff!

Yeah I didnt care for my red either and am really glad these were yellow. Any yellow fit with a lot of colors.

This part I lagged on the most because of the cost......parts and labor might be the most expensive cost on this project. Hopefully its wont disappoint.

Oh your thinking of going to scud brakes? But doesnt the CS have better braking tho? I thought I heard that so I was like man maybe I should of gone after CS brakes, but then I saw the rotors size ..Scud is 398 and CS is 380mm, so I went with the scud ones.

    Thank you!

CS and Scud rear rotors and calipers are the same.

CS and Scud front rotors and calipers are different. 380 vs 398. Nothing major, but since I have Challenge centerlock wheels already, it is something I plan on changing over to eventually. Nothing urgent at all, but it'd be a great time to also rebuild the calipers and change the color of them to yellow. I'm also going to use used Scud front calipers, but then use C6 Corvette ZR1 rotors swapped over onto my Challenge rotor hats. They are 394mm vs 398, but I ain't gonna notice that and they are only $1,000 instead of a ton more for Ferrari branding. Same thickness and material, so it's a no brainer for me.

Absolutely, and 398mm vs 394mm diameter ain't gonna make a bit of difference as far as performance on the street goes, or visually. Not nearly as much as 394mm vs 380mm diameter does.

I got my car back a couple of weeks ago and I finally got some time to post.
CCM brake conversion complete with all new tie rods, flamblocs, ball joints, new wheel bearings, brake booster, and 16m sway bar.
Thank you to Tommy, he did an amazing job, everything works as it should. We did the starter too, as that was acting bad.

I love the yellow calipers, I have more confidence on these brakes now...because I still have PTSD from the factory 360 brakes(those were bad).
Now because of the CCM my BBS LM's dont fit anymore so I had to send those out and get them re-barreled. So Im on stocks. Pictures of a box full of old parts and comparing new and old.
