    Hello,

A couple friends and I are prepping an '83 QV coupe for paint. We're removing trim and have a question.

How to remove the long trim strip that's on the base of the rear buttress. The trim in question goes from the base of the B-pillar under the 1/4 window, to the rearmost end of the buttress.

Can anyone help explain how to remove that piece? It seems to pull forward a 1/2" or so, but from that point won't budge. There are slots in the trim and plastic clips to secure it below the 1/4 window. Should it pull further forward, then out?

    Many thanks in advance!
    Dan J.

    Hi Alden,

Thanks for the diagram, that's helpful. #36 is the piece in question.

    Many thanks,
    Dan.

Afterburner is correct, part numbers 46, 47 and 48 are the bolts, nuts and washers accessible from inside the panel.

I can't think of an instance when Urs has not been correct. In Afterburner we trust, lol.
