Is there any Competizione with the carbon fiber blade on the bonnet painted in the same colour of the body??
I don't believe any blade was painted. There were a few cars that had an accent stripe painted on the back edge of the blade closest to the windshield. The designer Flavio Manzoni has certain design details like the blade which remain stock. Even livery stripes don't appear on the blade; instead leaving that area untouched. Something similar happened with the black rear fender flaps on the new 12 Cilindri that can't be changed to another color.
Looks like it can be painted in a different colour https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/attachments/img_3905-jpeg.3622743/
It was during Spa Classic 2024 and as I remember the car is Grigio Ingrid (but I could do mistakes) Image Unavailable, Please Login "Fun" fact: The day I was there, there was serious flooding near my home and it was impossible to return home. Luckily I had to sleep at a friend's house but on the way back to Luxembourg it was complicated to get around
Another 812 Competizione has arrived in London where there seems to be a never-ending parade of new Ferrari deliveries to the UK > Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login - JmeSupercars
It is not a new car, sold in about late 2024 from Ferrari Approved, the last 812 Com in UK was delivered in about June, 2024. BTW I wonder if the livery is from factory? Never seen a 812 Com with a stripe on the carbon blade.
I just went by the Jme comment about a new Competizione arriving. Thanks for the update! Not sure on the livery but nothing is on the blade typically but the occasional dream line. Remember how they would not put any livery on the 812 GTS windshield header either. A better view of the bare body. I want to touch it very bad , very very intriguing finish. Image Unavailable, Please Login
So there is a back story to all these bare aluminum cars. Yes, there are several now. First modern one made (That I know) is a 599 GTO. Prominent family and to this day I have never found a photo but it was confirmed to me by the highest up inside the Ferrari factory as to who commissioned it. Number two is a 458 Speciale Aperta. All I can add to this is that is supposed to be in the UK and that owner was kinda tweaked when he found out I was next up with my F12 Tdf. My dealer personally saw this 458 on the factory floor and hence the idea for me. After I commissioned my Tdf, there was a 488 Spider ordered in Scottsdale with a bare aluminum body that now resides with it's third (and prominent) owner and collector. This here (to the best of my knowledge) is the 5th bare aluminum car. So far three have been photographed and documented by the outside world but the 458 and 599 remain elusive. BTW I spoke to Marco Zanasi about these bare aluminum car bodies and he had a pretty strong opinion or two about the difficulty in creating them.
I don't care for the grind marks at all. Seems on the photos of the previous edition they were not that prominent or done with care. Could be wrong but not my cup of tea with these particular photos.
the photos above look like they were taken to highlight the sanding/grinding. In actuality it’s very subtle.
