Exactly, things that are not ok at some point may become possible later. I had the chance to create my own blue and that was a great experience.

Kris Singh paid an undisclosed amount for an actual moon rock. It was then ground up and polished (moon dust) and will be on his Pagani Utopia. He also did an intense orange with crushed up diamond dust and metallic on his Koenigsegg Agera XS. He did a custom color with Lamborghini on his Aventador that was named after him "Verde Singh" which uses crushed crystal/mica for the pearl effect rather than crushed glass/mica. Crushed crystal has a higher refractive index evidently and thus makes the paint "pop" even more. So anything is possible.

Extremely creative! I wonder what the moon dust will look like. I have to say that having moon dust as part of the paint on your Utopia says that you are doing well in the disposable income arena. LOL. I wonder what this will lead to. For all of us nerds in Silicon Valley like myself, maybe someone will use a crushed and polished powder of a critical silicon microprocessor wafer they worked on. This can go in so many ways :)

You could also mix a special version of ferrite into your paint and properly apply a specific magnetic field to it. That will orient the ferrite into being radar absorbing. Just in case, you went to have a stealth car.

Never thought that having a material scientist could be an option as part of the Tailor Made process.

I know imagine that when talk about specs for F80, red exposed carbon will by me very nice option of exterior. Yes extremly expensive option but partly it hide front black part and on sun light it looking amazing. There are few SP3s in this option.

The design is soooooo much more successful with an unpainted wing.

that is actually the only f80 i've seen which I thought looked nice, sliver might be the colour for it as (other than black) seems to be the only colour that compliments the weird racoon black stripe

agreed, the spec of the car should be trying to make as many other details black to try and blend the front stripe in

Agree with you. For me it is better design balance, when rear wing is in carbon same as front part.

That spec looks sensational! The more I look at the design of this car the more I love it, I can't wait to see some of the specs the owners will come up with.

Does anyone know is there an option for engine manifold/cover to be in carbon, or color?

At TM I would say so. They already have various painting ideas and treatment for that part of the car.

Have you heard of anyone making the front corner radiator's air screen less obvious? Perhaps, a way to make it much less reflective or something new like a color? it seems like all the "black" colors on the front of the car need to match.

No, not really, I didn’t think to ask. I like the front black parts and think the car looks well designed when you’re standing in front of it. I thought about dreamlines because they tend to give a low-stance appearance but decided against them because I didn’t want too much going on. A simpler spec suits an already-busy car IMO.

With this and the 12 Cilindri, Ferrari design has officially lost their mind. At some point, there had to be a change in leadership with the Ferrari design team that has taken them in this weird completely wrong direction. Of course the die hard Ferreristas love these, they'd love a Ferrari that looked like horse dung and just tell us we needed more time to take it in and see it in person. Sure, looks are totally subjective, but these are just beyond the pale. Within a few months after the 12 Cilindri was unveiled, I got calls from dealerships begging me to sell my 812, which had previously taken a nosedive and now is back up to full sticker. I love Ferrari and find this all very sad.

Everyone is entitled to your opinion. All I can tell you is go and read the first 2-3 pages of the SP3 forum and then read the last 3 pages. You will see a torrent of expletives on how ugly the car is followed by admiration as the best looking Ferrari ever. What happened in between? People saw the car
When the 812 was launched it was labelled as an Italian Corvette and people lamented it losing the F12 looks. Now people love it.

Reality is that Ferrari’s design choices have been vindicated as they have aged well. Having seen both cars, I personally think they are very attractive. Not trying to force my opinion on anyone, time will tell if they are successful, but Ferrari is not having much trouble selling them, I can tell you that for sure.

I have only seen the 12C in person and I can assure you that my opinion about its design has changed little since. I am only making this reference because I believe I'm not a rare species and I'm certain there are others like me for whom seeing a car in person doesn't mean starting adoring it. I know there are those who radically change their opinion and go from thinking it's ugly to loving a car after seeing it, just as there are others who will always adore unconditionally any design as long as it is the one of the Ferrari(s) they own.

For now, Ferrari's new models are selling well regardless of the quality of the design and that's simply because demand is greater than supply. Let's wait to see if the same will happen with the new 100% electric Ferrari. However, according to Ferrari's CEO, it will be a success because there is a new wave of customers who will only buy a Ferrari if it's electric.
