What's For Dinner?

Same uncle from ^ also sent us a pack of short ribs. Looks like a full set of ribs... biggest short ribs I've ever seen. Anyway... 4 hours in the oven at 250F. Really good but wow, what a huge amount of beef. Tons of leftovers, should have invited the neighbors over.

Kroger had an akaushi chuck roast on special. Well, that sounds like a good excuse for pot roast. Added taters, carrots and shallots (wife prefers them to onions).

yea, some of the best food in Hawaii comes from a styrofoam box! Small brick and mortar called Kau Kau grill.

 

Totally agree. Thai food truck on the North Shore totally ruined me for green papaya salad. 20 or so years later I've never found any place on the Mainland anywhere close to being as good. Ditto for a garlic and shrimp at a food trick near the Turtle Bay resort. I could go on for pages!
