I just purchased a 2019 Pista a couple months back (certified pre owned and got extended warranty) and currently has around 1700 miles. In late February i got the warning on the dash Engine Control System Failure take to dealer error code so i scheduled a service appointment on March 3rd.

I was told the error code and diagnostics was sent to FNA and they confirmed that the filter boxes on the left and right are warped and it is causing the error code. The parts had to be ordered from Italy and were scheduled to come in this week on Monday. I now find out they are delayed another week and won't come in until next Tuesday which means i haven't had the car in over a month waiting for this repair.

Wondering if anyone on this thread has ever had this issue with the Pista and if so their general thoughts.

    Thank you

Just out of interest how old was the battery and did you leave it on the charger since judging by the mileage its never driven

I had a similar issue driven by the battery not taking a charge. My replacement battery took one week to arrive from Italy….got car back after an 8 day wait.

The battery was and is always on tender and that's the first question i asked the service department. They stated the battery was fine and not an issue.

Thanks Art. I guess i'm confused why it would take the factory 3 weeks plus to get those parts over here? Your 7 day wait seems more reasonable.

  6. They probably want to make sure the tariffs kick in before importing the parts.

    Kidding, just kidding.
