I wanted to update on the shocks issue and the response of Ferrari of Naples. After numerous failed promises of a resolution and an attempt to keep me as a customer, the manager just advised me by email instead of a call that the FOUR blown shocks are somehow normal wear and tear and they wouldnt cover any repair costs. He really had no response as to how the residual leaks of the shocks could have been missed with a proper inspection. To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. I have contacted Ferrari of North America to see if they will help with the matter. Addtionally, as much as I dont want to I am bringing suit against the dealership. This is absolutely not the route I wanted to take but really have no other options.

For those of you buying a used CPO Ferrari, please have a PPI done regardless of what the dealership says about the thoroughness of their inspection. Lesson learned but this too will pass

FWIW, I just had 1 shock and bushing replaced on my 2021 F8 spider with 8,000 miles. It was replaced under warranty at F Tampa as I kept up the bumper to bumper warranty .
Which car do you have ? Mileage ? Year ?

A 15 year old car. I'd like to follow that lawsuit and see how well it turns out.

The reason the leaks were not identified during the Naples inspection is because the leaks were not present during the inspection.
It is a 14 year old, low mileage, intermittently driven, often stored car. A perfect recipe for seal failure.

Honestly you are wasting your time and money suing Naples Ferrari. If I remember from your other posts this is a 14yr old car and you drove it 2700 miles and a year and 2 months AFTER you bought it from Ferrari Naples.

If you had found the leaking shocks a few days or week or so after purchase then you might have something. Suing your local dealer over this is going to cause you more trouble in the years to come trying to get service and sales from this dealer and perhaps other dealers as they all do talk about business with each other.

I am all for outstanding customer service and manufactures helping out when it seems like the right thing to do but in your case you need to buy 4- 458 shocks and have someone install them and check your alignment after the install and then go enjoy life and your awesome 458.

Totally get you are frustrated, but litigation is almost never the answer, especially when you compare the cost, expense and headache as compared to the bill to fix these.

Save the heartache, bad feelings, loss of dealer help when needed. Buy new shocks off eBay have Indy install them and do alignment. It would be cheaper than all the legal hassle/ expenses for no guaranteed recompense. I have those shocks and I can’t tell the difference.work great no leaks. It sure isn’t worth 10K when there will be other problems down the line that occur. Pray you don’t get the transmission troubles. Then you’re in for a big surprise. Remember, it’s a Ferrari and they all come with all their idiosyncrasies. You’ll get over it.
