It's funny as 99.95% of the world knows - zero difference. Ferrari owners are hard on themselves. Enjoy
For those that were offered 296 VS Coupes...was there any mention of dealer markups above MSRP? If so, what has been presented?
fairly certain that the VS will be tariffed even being a 296....because, it will be a 296 VS and not a base 296.
It depends how you read it. Is it a "296 family" car or is it a "special series" car, or is it something else. Even the cars that are "not tariffed" are in fact subject to the tariff. It's just that Ferrari is shielding the retail buyer some amount up to all of it. Since they haven't released pricing yet, I can imagine a scenario where they do not feature a line item or recapture line on a 296 VS invoice, but rather, just increase the price of all 296 VS across the world by a few percent. But this is purely my own imagination and speculation. We should know in the next few weeks.
An official Ferrari dealer would never markup above MSRP, not unless he wants to loose his dealership .
Yes Ferrari are eating the Tariff on some ‘base’ cars . Watch the price rises over the next 3 years to get that back in both car and options Great strategy to be seen to be looking after the customer up front
Went and spoke to the GM at my dealer today. As of now, it can be up to 10% on some models, but it sounds like dealers will be making less per car. 25% was a concern, but 10% is a few carbon options. We'll see, hopefully it's just posturing.
Guessing Ferrari knows it won't be over 10% Are any other factories publishing like offerings - XX part of SF90 family - no tariff? Then wonder if it's the same on VS - 296 family.
The camo car in evo article has no yellow electric markings. Ive wondered if that is normal to not have at least one yellow sticker being visible. https://www.evo.co.uk/ferrari/296-gtb/207607/ferrari-296-vs-spied-hardcore-hybrid-successor-to-speciale-and-pista-inbound
Interesting. I only have a few areas that bother me on the 296. I wish the front was more sculpted. But more time with it, I think it really works. My main styling issue is the awful plastic Ferrari used for the front wings, side runner and diffuser. I couldn’t get gloss black plastic. I wasn’t getting carbon fiber and painting it.
SF90 debut 2019 - you have been putting down SF90 family of cars and 296 What about the VS meets your approval vs 296 - this should be interesting, Mr Obscure
you are right about the plastic. its so bad. I think they made the plastic extra bad so everyone would get the CF. I ordered ours with the plastic side sills and couldn't stand how bad it looked...switched to the CF sills.
I just thought the carbon was way overpriced and too damage prone that down low. Plus, my biggest issue with the carbon is it still doesn't match the gloss black accents on the A pillars and Mirror arms.
I had the same thoughts, skipped exterior CF, went for a CF wrap for £1.2k or so. Here’s a pic of it after a wash. Nobody can tell. I commonly mistake wrapped CF for the real thing even on dealer inventory despite knowing what it looks like on my car. Also gloss black will look better imo but don’t want to deal with it wearing. did this on our Pista. Double wrapped with clear PPF and it looked completely perfect. The CF pricing is a true from price gouge. The cost to make CF sills is probably $1000 all-in. What is the price of those parts when buying from Ferrari...20k?
