your silly, the dodici cilindri is the flagship from Ferrari, is 100,000 cheaper than the revuelto, Has a more powerful v12 Is lighter than the revuelto and doesn’t have the stupid hybrid battery adding weight and complexity. The cilindri is the better purchase of the two and is 100,000 cheaper and looks better than the revuelto.
12 Cilindri is not the flagship, that has been passed over to the SF90 and its successor forthcoming. Ferrari has stated they didn't need to make the V12 the flagship with the power output of their V8 hybrids.
Looks better? I disagree. That's subjective. I'm not sure why you're comparing a front v12 to mid-engine v12. Completely different styles based on that engine placement so not really making sense to compare the two looks-wise. I think most would think the Ferrari 12 is not pretty anyway in isolation or compared to the Lambo. If the car had a Lambo badge I'm willing to bet you wouldn't like it.
I canceled my 12C Spider order this morning and requested my deposit back. I was going to wait to see it in person but I’ve come to terms with the reality that there isn’t one aspect of the 12C that I like more than my 812 GTS. I see no reality where I purchase a car I find less attractive for roughly $200K more than what I paid for the 812 and I can’t imagine the drive is significantly better. I actually think The potential 10% increase in price helped pushed me towards a decision I knew was the right one all along.
I wish lambo would a front engine v12 and go back to their roots but they would never, they’re not really lambo but just Volkswagen product. It’s not the real Lamborghini anymore
You're referring to the engine, not the car. Of course the V12 will always be the bloodline of Ferrari, absolutely no doubt. It is the Flagship engine for sure.
The Revuelto shares nothing mechanically with another VAG product, absolutely nothing! It is not the flagship. It is neither the more performant, nor the most expensive. It is a romantic super-GT with an amazing V12. It wouldn't know which way an SF90, or a 296 for that matter, went though... That is not the V12's fault, it is just that Ferrari does not utilise the V12 in its more performance oriented models anymore.
Yes, really a bargain for the 12 Cilindri as someone else noted. Less than one quarter of the price to get a Cosworth V12 yet it can be enjoyed in relative comfort.
Finally saw the 12c in person An Imola red coupe wearing the modern forged wheels The front stripe is actually a Nero Ds paint color and NOT Nero Daytona ! The little # 2 stipe inferior to the nose stripe is flat black The hood ‘collar’ is also this same flat black paint color . The little rectangular vent located in the 1/4 panel is glossy piano black and this matches the lower wing mirror glossy black paint and the roof’s glossy black paint. The aero flaps are also done with the same glossy Nero paint. The overall impresssion of the exterior shape and proportions are very positive. Modern design. It’s nice but not epic at all. To fetch the huge sum of money Ferrari is charging is not justified because there isn’t the same level of emotional appeal. The interior is very modern and nicely appointed The blend of leather and Alcantara works because the interior has so many different surfaces. The standard interior is fine The center tunnel has glossy piano black and looks fine. For me I’m still in because I want the NA V12 engine. The body and interior design is fine but doesn’t have the exotic appeal or presence which compels one to write a check that high. So I think many will pass on this car if they have a V12. Between the various rims, the modern forged rims look better in person. So I think I will go back to them. I wouldn’t spend money on the expensive paints Nor would I spend more for the larger hand painted shields either. The price increase for the USA market is 10%. Ferrari and FNA have absorbed 15% of the tariff pain
I kinda think this shade of red is a bit much given the overall shape and size of the 12C. "Look at me!"
'Grigio Silverstone Opaco' for the stealth look. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
So what shade of red would you pick? Assuming you don't want to pay 30K+ for some really high end color.
But it does illustrate the front fender crease from the Ferrari Daytona. Something the 12 Cilindri has more of than the original Daytona. The Daytona fender crease often became exaggerated on a restored Daytona became the painter thought some extra curve at the front edge looked better than the original design.
Re the last comment, no, they haven’t. Duty applies to landed cost which is usually +/- half of retail. So retail impact of duty is circa 10-12% or in that region. Ferrari passed most or all of it on.
