Day 1 of paint correction now that the weather allows more than 50F in the garage. While well cared for, I'm the 7th owner not including four different dealers that sent her to auction. She's gone through a lot of hands and needed a loving touch. The whole process outside and in is going to be around 40ish hours. Just delivered today - my parent's old car, which has now been completely refurbished. Actually, everything is new, except engine / gearbox (swapped for reconditionned units) and the dashboard. For whatever reason, only an older dashboard model is currently re-manufactured, so I asked to take the dashboard from the existing car in order to get a period-correct configuration. For those not familiar with the model, it's a Citroen Méhari, produced between 1968 and 1987 (about 145,000 units made) on a Citroen 2CV platform. This is a 1982 model. Yes, third one with no timing belt nor oil consumption issue; previous cars reached 92,000 km and 74,000 km before I sold them, and they never had a problem (thanks to Ferrari I knew that changing the timing belts regularly is part of a normal maintenance).
I sold last month mine at 75000 km. It was a 308 mark II. I did always the service in the garage but I get some problems, everything in guarantee. The last one cost to the company 1800€ for changing the radar and near one month garage... Stelantis is a bad joke company.
I believe the cost-cutting genius Carlos Tavares has initiated many problems - now that he's out (with a s**load of money) I wonder whether the shareholders will be more clever and stop being lured by short term profits that end-up in expensive issues and bad reputation.
Never again. Never. Becarefull today, many professionals refused to take these car.... I switch for the first time with korean company, and Big, big, big, surprise

Europeans CAN'T run American car companies-unless you count running them into the ground. Tavares oversaw the loss of the vaunted Jeep brand market share.
I'll share. Bought this at the end of last December. 2020 with 2,400 miles on it. More refined than my 458, but definitely pulls hard with the twin turbo's. It's our "vacation" car when we go on longer weekend trips. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don't know, Carlos Tavares could not run any car company, except for gullible shareholders impressed by short term financial successes - all decisions he took were preparing upcoming problems. It was easy to see the writing on the wall, but he managed to last enough time to take the maximum money for himself.
