The brand is valuable, it will survive. Who will own it? That´s the question.

It´s quite sad to see their struggles. They´ve never been so active in at least 50 years, yet they can´t make money.

    The DB series (2, 2/4, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11) are a lineage on the same theme.
Each; more or less, have a 2+2, a convertible (Volante) and a Zagato version.
That's the continuity in the brand, appreciated by Aston buyers I think.
Astons are understated, not flashy like Italian cars.

I am sceptical about the success of the rear engine cars, to be honest.
There, Aston goes into Lamborghini or Ferrari territory, even against McLaren, and I don't know if its customers will follow.
I thought Limited Edition gave value to a product, no ? Many brands use that commercial ploy.

They should've done the front engined cars + SUV + Valhalla as main production. Valkyrie as limited.

Can always make a Valhalla "GT2" as their limited track focused one...

McLaren seems to do alright with their Limited Productions.

McLaren is champion for production cars being "identical to each other, and it doesn't seem to harm them.

What about Morgan keeping the same shape after almost a century !

Rumors still abound with Saudi mentioned but yes with their 'wealth' in great proportinon, the Bahraini clans are still losing money with Mclaren lol. I like Aston but they are depreciating bricks of vehicles. Their more classic models and heritage have been lost to the new ones. They are 1Billion in debt. Im glad Papa Stroll has money to burn Argentine style but its becoming a joke at this point. The linkage between the team and F1 are just a branding exercise and their is so much debt now the report has an outside firm hired to sell the stake. Tells me insiders are not attracted to owning more overall.

The new owners don't seem to worry about it. The Arabs must see it as a Prestige brand in their portfolio perhaps?

Stroll hints at taking Aston Martin private as he calls valuation 'a joke'
    https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/stroll-hints-at-taking-aston-martin-private-as-he-calls-valuation-a-joke/10708709/

The numbers dont lie lol. Ego -maniac speech below. Denial is painful. This is not a company about to become another Ferrari. Go sell some clothing lol :)

"The company is severely undervalued and its stock market valuation of around £650 million is a joke," he said. When asked about taking the company private, he didn't close the door to such an idea. "Could it be something for the future? Potentially, yes. Never say never. Is it on my radar screen to do in the next fortnight? No, but never say never."

Aston Martin - March 2025 close out.

I'm not sure how it can be considered undervalued when there's no price to earnings ratio and their earnings per share are in the red...

That said, I personally think Aston Martin designs the best looking modern cars of any manufacturer. The newest Vantage is stunning.

Back in the days they did not really believe in a potential success for the Bulldog.

IMO, you don't invest in brands like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin or McLaren to make a quick buck.
There are plenty of other companies that would satisfy those who want a quick return; probably not in the car industry.
The first motivation when investing in a luxury sportscar company is enthusiasm about the brand.
It's a bit like resale value; the true Ferrari, Aston or Lambo owner don't care about resale value.
That consideration wouldn't sway their decisions, because those are the cars they want. The same for a McLaren buyer.

I stand 100% behind my quote. Every team Alonso has left has been a wreck ... he is good at pitting the team against its self. He may have some natural talent sure, but its not any better than many other folks, and Dare I say it Hamilton is way, way better.

Aston Martin react to Max Verstappen $300 million

Having enticed Adrian Newey and Honda to the team, Aston look set to go after Verstappen with Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport claiming a $300 million contract offer was being prepared. It is claimed that the move will be financed by the sovereign fund of Saudi Arabia, with Gazzetta claiming the Kingdom’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) is determined to take over the team. Aston insists there are no plans to go any further than the investment offer vehicle which was announced recently.

I think it's extremely unlikely Max leaves to go to AMR. Max wants to be in the best car, like any driver. Why would he leave Red Bull who are still competitive enough to get him wins for AMR who have one of the worst cars and have only proved to be losers since their existence with Lawrence Stroll. Adrian Newey is just one guy. Would Max be willing to throw away a winning car on the dream Newey can come up with something better in his first year with a new team that's a bunch of losers?

I also have not heard Max having any aspirations of taking a team in the dumps to being a championship team. AMR certainly doesn't have that same draw and passion that Ferrari has.
