Funny you should say that, my older Son is trying to get me to do just that, but I'am not sold on the idea.

What do think, has Ferrari listened Chris Harris and moved towards more trustworthy operation?

Not reporting a weight of LaFerrari, was a rea low point for me and I'm happy to see it hasn't happened since then. Instead they have provided reasonably believable dry weight figures.

Of course it doesn't make sense to emphasize weak points of your product, but providing trustworthy data is essential.

Fiorano lap times are not always provided anymore. While this is a shame, I still prefer this over the overly optimistic figures. E.g. the omitted lap time of 12 Cilindri may not have presented car's strenghts properly.

Perhaps Chris was genuinely impressed with the car. I think both parties realised that 12 Cilindri would be a perfect car to settle the argument. This car is not about the ultimate lap time, but instead how it rides and sounds.

To clarify, it's not that I don't like Rosso Dino, but I already have an original 365GTB/4 in that color, my son would like me to do the new car in that same color. I don't see the need to have two cars the same color, so we'll see no decision has been made.

Didn't watch the video yet. Did he destroy 5 sets of tires around Fiorano with one set of rears on a single lap as he screamed over the shrieking V12 and exclaiming the F12B is best car Ferrari has ever made? That was some kind of Harris test drive for sure. I'm thinking he did none of that this time especially with a Ferrari VIP along for the ride.

Worst A-Pillar and full of haptics and seats that do not move, exterior door handle you have to squat to access...at least it has a rear V12

Joke is always on the customer, Ferrari putting the nose lift behind a set of screens and buggy too, see Autotrader review of the Spider...lift has no physical button, that's not going to be fixed with a software update...

lift button and is not line of sight from driver:

    buggy screen, doesn't work:

I have driven it. The car is amazing. No one will have an issue with the sound while driving. It sounds very good and is not quiet. Still sounds good in a tunnel!
No issues with the screens, it is actually much better to use than 812.

Having CarPlay and navigation on the central screen and not taking up the space on the dashboard like SF90 or 296 is much better.
No issues with suspension lift button or heating controls. All worked perfect.
It's a great car and better than 812 in every way. And not by a little bit. .uch more planted and the power delivery and acceleration feels almost the same as 296.

Yes, I have a good friend who has a couple thousand miles on his SP3 already. He took it out on a multi-state rally. So some owners are actually driving them and enjoying them.

I just drove the car yesterday, WOW, and I really love the looks For what ever reason it does not look good in pictures, but in the metal it is very, very nice. I drove a blue medio ... with the painted yellow shields and yellow calipers ... with the brushed wheels... it was spectacular. I do think it is color dependent. this one had a gray interior, ... not my choice.

    The Good:
    Great in person looks
Super fast - from 2k to 9k in seconds...
    very light to drive
Great view = love the wheel arches they are a bit more pronounced than in the 812... but very similar
Sound on down shift - great, each down shift is theater...
Good sound - screaming when you want it, quiet rumble all the time
Color was Blue Medio with yellow and chrome accents... very, very nice
    the Key.... love the key

    The bad
    Price
    Not much interior room
Stop start - hate that ... the controls are buried in the touch screen
Hard to get the AC right....
confusing switches to get out at first.
very, very thin engine bonnet... very thin...
some did not like the seat ... I thought the sports seats were great.
exhausts are not as impressive ...
interior color not so much... lots of Alcantara... not sure how well it will hold up

Nice review. The very thin bonnet? Is it a ding magnet?

I dont know about dings, but I can see closing it is a two person job, or that you go to both sides, to close it and too hard a push seems to me would equal bent aluminum. But I will say that in the metal it is WAY better looking than I ever thought. The other thing is the steering wheel is thinner and overall lighter. the whole car feels 812, f12, 599 like but lighter across the board.

I felt like the steering wheel felt thinner than the 812SF yes. It actually looked smaller to me overall when getting into the car.

its definitely smaller in general diameter and from the 812's I've driven it just felt thinner at the bottom and lower sides, it does bulge at 9&3 a bit ... the one I drove had Alcantara inserts there carbon everywhere else. it was not objectionable, but just felt a bit ... Thin... it contributes to the feeling the car is lighter overall. it clearly revs faster and higher than the 812... The sound I felt was about the same... maybe slightly less if you have an 812 spider... I think it just takes an 812 and makes it a touch better. Not sure if its any outright faster, but it felt quicker... super sticky and grippy for sure.

Thanks for those details! We ordered our wheel with the shift lights and leather wrapped - no carbon. I’m really looking forward to driving!

I agree with pretty much all he said. This video captures the sound in the car... but you do have to rev it up to get that sound.

He always does pretty solid reviews. He brings up great points about the pricing on the car etc as well.
