Who: FCA DFW Members What: Rally to Fredericksburg When: Friday April 4, 2025 Where: Leaving from Boardwalk Ferrari As in years past, I plan on leaving Boardwalk Ferrari at or around 11am. If you are signed up & attending this years Hanging at the Hanger and want to drive down together, let me know by Thursday April 3rd so we can coordinate plans. I will take a Southwesterly route mostly back roads and more scenic path to Fredericksburg. we can certainly stop in Hico, Llano, or Alamo Springs for food along the way! Shoot me a message if you are interested ! Steve
A stop in Hico at Jersey Lilly’s for Mexican is a must! Check out the Billy the Kid museum, popcorn place, chocolate shop. A nice little stop. I’m dropping the 308 off at Tin Lizzie Affair for some upholstery work, so I won’t be able to make it. But if my schedule permits, I could fly in with the 310 and meet you guys at the restaurant! Is this an overnight trip for the club?
Its my understanding they have re-opened Even if they haven't , it will make for a nice drive. S p.s. confirmed they are indeed open again
It’s been rainy, mid 80s, Heavy thunderstorms, overcast, dropping to the 30s overnight tonight…. Texas weather at its best! We have a saying in aviation about going for “A hundred dollar hamburger”. Kind of outdated now a days with the price of everything, but I think those burger pics keep that saying alive with Ferrari style! Thanks for sharing! cheers Dave
BBQ Chicken fried steak Really good burger Or “ you should really try this sometime “ Don’t tease me, I’ve been known to get in a car and drive for hours, for any of the above! ( I may have taken a flight before, too ) LoL Steve
You guys didn't happen to drive by the Canyon Lake area did you? I was out preparing our deck area for a party on Friday, and saw a large group of what looked like Ferraris down on highway 306. A little out of the way for Fredericksburg from the Dallas area, but there are some fun roads between here, the Alamo Springs Cafe, and Fredericksburg.
Not us, however, there was a large Italian car show, Saturday … there may have been a group headed there! Steve
Thanks for the photos, Steve! Glad you could join us. The weather turned in our favor with no rain past the overnight showers. A GREAT family reunion - ATX, SA, DFW, HOU. ...b
Very cool! Liked all the cars I saw. No front license plates . Ferraris excluded from this in Texas ?
Official photos of another excellent event! Thank you Bob B & team for creating this annual event, we look forward to seeing you again in 2026! Link: Hangin' at the Hangar 2025 - Google Photos
Have driven most of those roads and then some, in that area. Some of the best driving roads in Texas, will be a good trip.
The rain was overnight and ended before we all left Fredericksburg for the drive. Plus, all the cars were stored in an aircraft hangar overnight, each night. On the downside, the roads in Hunt Tx were covered in a light coating of mud in some areas. ALL the cars needed a good wash No melting...this year
