ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. If I wasn't halfway through a Continuing Education video, I'd just call it and head to bed.
This boredom is a consequence of Pirellis timid decision to choose the hardest three compounds for this weekend...
Tyres, aeros, brakes, bloated cars, overweighted cars, there's many more factors. They need to go back to basics. There's just too much of technology in the cars.
Snorefest race. Waste of time watching that procession. Well done Max. Driver made the difference this weekend. Champions drive. Ferrari in no mans land. Need some upgrades pronto. Antonelli and Hadjar proving quite handy! Stroll an embarrassment to the sport (as usual). Last, and only driver lapped. What an absolute disgrace.
First place: Cherry blossom trees. Snoozefest broken by 16/44 complaining about (lack of?) info from engineers. Papayas copy lack of bold strategy from Scuderia (though I like the LH plan of Hards first.) Tsunoda outlasts Lawson - moral victory.
max just show who he is glad i go do something else than go thru this snore fest ferrari is no where but well at least 4th is not too bad or pending dsq lol
Boring race indeed. Tsunoda Japanese driver of the day, the only funny action of the race. Hadjar should avoid at all costs to be "promoted" to Red Bull.
From a viewer's pov, qualifying was the race. From a driver's pov, the race itself was hard technical work that proved that sometimes close racing isn't racing. Sainz and Williams better quickly figure out where the early magic went...and what was Albon screaming about. Tsunoda is wondering "what happened after FP1? Isack and Kimi are smiling ear to ear. Ferrari is asking if the kiosk ran out of merchandise. Alonzo deposited another paycheck. Bearman had fun. Toto and George shrugged it off. The rest of the drivers asked their agents to bring them all offers. Old man Stroll was looking for some terrorists to please kidnap his son. And the FIA and F1 folks were comparing their hotel suites for the next three races.
A rain downpour interrupted my satellite reception on lap 10. When I got coverage back on lap 14, nothing had changed. That was the theme of the whole race.
Leclerc did the best that was at hand and things look bright for Hamilton… he finished ahead of Hadjar… !
Great drive from Max but my god that was BORING. Glad I didn't set my alarm for this. Norris chancing a bit with the stewards but they all do it. Not quite sure why Tsunoda got driver of the day? Antonelli did a beautiful job managing those tyres, and Max driving a car in places it shouldn't be is are the ones that would be in contention IMO, but not Tsunoda. Tsunoda did well though, Lawson did poorly, Stroll did awful. Hadjar good job too. When is Ferrari expecting results on that 100 million a year?
