Hi all, we are a new sponsor, Antigravity Batteries, on FC. We manufacturer Lithium Starter Batteries and other stuff for all vehicles.

We were wondering if a few of you wanted to participate in doing a simple voltage-tracking test with us. I'm posting this in a few of the forum areas just so we can get a broad swath of data on the Charging systems in the more popular models. So we would want about 1 or two testers of each model 458, 488, F8. While i assume they have reltaively the same Chargering profiles I would like to check it out. Would also like to get a Lithium optioned car like the Pistas in the test to compare the profiles.

Antigravity would provide you the Battery Tracker Plus free of charge, to use and keep after the test. Its a small Bluetooth Battery Monitoring Device with an App that sends its data to your Phone. It has a very simple connection to the Vehicle's Battery by just loosening the Battery's Clamp Nut then sliding a Fork Terminal behind the loosened bolt and retightening. It takes about a minute to install after accessing your Battery. The "Battery Tracker" does NOT affect the battery in any negative way, nor can it harm your system at all. It can't create a parasitic draw on your battery because it only draws 1 milliamp which is insignificant to any battery discharge, it does not store or hold voltage it just measures voltage as a data point then the App puts it into a graphical format for review.

We would simply ask you to send screenshots of this data once a week or two. We need about 3 weeks of data per Car type. Below is a screenshot of how the graphic looks and what the device looks like.
So our point is just to understand the different models of Ferraris and see if any models have issues that we can learn about, for example if they charge their batteries over 15v often, or if they have the standard profile like 95% of other cars have.

    We'd be looking for :

    - One person maybe two for each Car Model. For example one/two owner of 458, the same for the 488 Regular or Pista, and F8

-Persons who don't have a problem accessing their battery and installing the Battery Tracker. So, basically we want a mechanically inclined person who's wants to do this.

-Persons who also drive relatively often... doesn't have to be everyday but once or twice a week so we can get the good data from driving and static storage times.

    - Person who can send us screenshots from the Bluetooth App via email, and do consistently for 3 weeks.

    - Person who is sort of nerdy about data and likes this type of testing stuff.

Lastly, its actually a very cool product for those who use it. So it isn't something you need to remove after the test, you will get alot of benefit from it, for example you can get you your battery voltage without ever opening the car, see your real time voltage and Historical data for 72 days, test your voltage sag upon strating the car (a good indicator of battery health), test charging system, tell temperature where your battery is at and other cool stuff. Its pretty slick. We just want to get data so we can better understand the different cars charging systems output.

Here is a link to see the product so you can analyze if you would like to assist in this test. >>> https://antigravitybatteries.com/products/accessories/battery/chargers/btr3-bluetooth-tracker/

Also a video to show what is does...

I have a 60 AH antigravity battery and the complementary battery tracker supplied by your company in my 2012 458 Spider for the past 6 months. I would be happy to provide you with any data you require. Please let me know what parameters you want collected, frequency, etc. and I will try to supply that as requested.

I am very happy with my antigravity battery set up at this time, and use the CTEK Lithium battery charger/maintainer specifically recommended by your company at all times.

Please let me know how I can help. Thank you for doing this.

Hey Snapshift... super thanks for the offer and that would be great since you have all the data already. But we'd be glad to send the new Battery Tracker Plus for providing the screenshots from your Battery Tracker that you have. The new one allows you to track multiple Cars in the App now, and has a few new features, but you might have it already, and if you do, we'll get you something else.

You can send me and email to (scott at antigravitybatteries dot com), and I'll get some screenshots and get you another battery tracker if you want or something else for the assistance. Thanks again!

I have a 2012 458 Spider with a 60Ah antigravity battery purchased and installed within the past 12months and I’d be interested in participating.

I drive the car about once or twice per week and the car currently has 31,000km on the odometer.

Since installing the battery I’ve had to use RE-Start twice, both after prolonged storage while I was on vacation. I don’t use a trickle charger and am mechanically well inclined.
