September 5 Superb reenactment of the terrorist events during the Munich Olympics. I remember watching the events unfold on live TV as a kid. This movie brought all those memories back. Terrific acting.

Kingsman I and Kingsman II Damn what great movies that flew under the radar. At least under mine. Beats any James Bond movie by a landslide. The shooting scene in the church is one of the most thrilling pieces of cinema I have ever seen in my life. I watched that over and over again. It's exhilarating.

The brutalist. 3h30.... Long, not finished. Brutally overrated. US movies are representative of a biggest creative decline?
It is a 2022 film, but my wife and I just discovered and watched it. Ralph Fiennes stars in The Menu. It's a "black comedy horror film". It's a movie where dinners board a boat to go to a private island with a restaurant. We enjoyed it. What was funny is we have driven our 612 down to Key West several times, and each time we had reservations at a restaurant on a private island. You have to have reservations to board their private boat to dine at the restaurant, and then take the boat back to Key West. We joked what if Ralph Fiennes ran that restaurant!
Yes, really incredible that he learned to sing and play the guitar like Bob... By the image of Joan Baez.... She took a hit. She will have lost 10 points in this film.
Uncharted Actually liked it for the popcorn movie it was. Granted it was a "sequel" to the Da Vinci code and National Treasure but still fun. The climax with "pirate" ships hanging off helicopters dueling each other was so out there that it was fun. Anyhow.
The Alto Knights. It is a biographical gangster film centred on the rivalry between the two Italian-American mafia bosses Vito Genovese and Frank Costello, both played by Robert de Niro.
If you have the opportunity to see this movie, then go for it. A great surprise and a superb finale. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Watched an older movie about two patrolmen in L.A. titled End of Watch. Starred Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena who played well off each other, good movie hits a lot of different emotions.
