My understanding is that new Ferrari's imported to the US will be subject to a 25% tariff. Correct me if I'm wrong , but I believe that even used Ferrari's imported from outside the US will also be subject to this tariff.
If this is true , did the value of new/used Ferrari's (and other imported cars) just rise 25% in the US and is anyone seeing the effects of this yet?

I ship a lot of parts over seas. Is anything going export subject to a tariff or only things manufactured in the US? It's on the customs form country of Manufacture...

False. Any car over age 25 is not subject to the additional 25% tax. It's still only 2.5% for the older cars.

Thanks for the clarification. Sounds like the 25% will still apply from 2000 on...
I'm thinking that some , I don't know , maybe most , won't want to pay 25% more overnight so in effect the used Ferrari market will have actually dropped for those who own them outside the US.

I think that is relative as used cars from outside USA have their own market and just a few end in the USA. Also if car prices goes up because of the tarifa used cars follow the marke close to the san degree of new car increase

Ferrari and Porsche have enough margin they can eat the 25%, for new cars sold in the US. A 575 sitting on the lot for the last 4 months at $140k is not going to sell anytime soon at $170k either. Retail pricing generally is whatever the maximum the consumer will pay, regardless of input costs.

I'm not taking any chances. I'm having some parts sent this next week even though its for a 1967 car. I just don't want a fight with customs about what is what until this shakes out.

“Can” does not necessarily equate to “will”. Ferrari have already announced an additional 10% IIRC.

Do you have a regulation citaition for that or an updated link or memorandum from US Customs? From my reading of the new executive order (link below), I see no exception for older vehichles.

Note, auto parts will also get the 25% tariff. So all factory Ferrari parts will get a 25% tariff if you buy them from Ricambi (US) or Eurospares/SPUK (UK)

THESE CARS JUST GOT A LOT MORE EXPENSIVE TO MAINTAIN!.

1)... all imports of articles ...shall be subject to a 25 percent tariff ... for automobiles, ...for automobile parts, but no later than May 3, 2025, and shall continue in effect, unless such actions are expressly reduced, modified, or terminated. The above ad valorem tariff is in addition to any other duties, fees, exactions, and charges applicable to such imported automobiles and certain automobile parts articles.

Parts is parts. Doesn't matter if the part is for a steam powered jalopy made 100 years ago, or a Ferrari built yesterday. Parts is parts. The HTS code (and country of origin, and material composition) determines the tariff. Period.

CARS confirmed this to me also the night when tariffs were implemented and they confirmed with CBP about it. CARS also gave me a quote yesterday on importing a 25+ year old car and the line item on quote is also only 2.5%. If other importers are charging you 25% ad valorem on your 25+ year old car...look elsewhere for an importer.

If you're considering CARS, I would also look elsewhere, those guys were completely incompetent importing my 512TR, scratched up the new paint job among other things after letting the battery go dead and pushing it around by hand, and just ghosted me when I complained.
