Nice to see Leclarc wake up.
Nice mixed qualy! GO Oscar. Impressive Russell and Kimi Antonelli. Carlos looking more sorted for Williams. Norris not at all as sorted as Oscar today.
Order nice and jumbled, hopefully will make for a fun race tomorrow instead of the last two snooze fests that we've had.
McLaren has a problem. Their "chosen one" Norris is about to be their number 2 driver -- and he ain't gonna like it. Piastri is the new star.
Sainz is brimming from ear to ear I tell you, qualifying ahead of his old seat. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well Bahrain is one of the favorites tracks for Charles. Guess he did a special lap. Real gap is more 0.5 second/ lap with Mclaren. Not quite an achievement I would say..
Another exciting quali. I did not expect to see such massive gains in lap time with that last run. That was shocking. Mercedes very very impressive. As they team, they maximized their performance. McLaren still easily the best car, Piastri's solid composure earns another pole. Lando showing again why he isn't on a true champions level. He's as quick as he's ever been but when the moment is needed, he tends to fall short too often. Ferrari is kind of okay. Leclerc has performed very well at Bahrain with this generation of car, so no surprise he had a good showing. Hamilton 6 tenths off on a track that he has testing time in the car. Not a good showing from him at all. Gasly without a doubt the star of qualifying. Mind blowing lap that is head and shoulders above anyone else and will be overlooked since it was just a P5. Do not expect that same pace in the race. Red Bull looks to be a handful once again. Max's lap will go unappreciated as well. In his one shot to get it right after mucking his first lap on used tires, puts in another ace of a lap and goes 9 tenths faster than Yuki, who just put in the best Q3 result of any driver in the 2nd seat at Red Bull this season. Kudo's to Sainz for looking good in the Williams.
Is Merc gonna escape grid drop punishments? They headed out of pit before they were allowed after Ocon's crash. They gained a sporting advantage by jumping head of the pack. I'm sure Toto will sweet talk FIA to just fine them...
Ferrari should have thrown money at Carlos or even Kimmi. Been nice to have a Italian driver at Ferrari, I think Charles gave it 101% today. Lets hope the car has some race pace.
Despondent Norris feels 'clueless' after bad qualifying Lando Norris says he feels "clueless on track at the minute" with the 2025 McLaren Formula 1 car after qualifying sixth for the Bahrain Grand Prix
