Luca needs a little more exuberance with that flag.

Why do they always insist on having checkered flag wavers who can't be bothered?

Nice win for the current best Mclaren driver - Driver of the Day and well earned.
Russell drove well - nice 2nd if it holds
Norris - drove well but scrappy.

Well done by Charles. Tough race and stayed close the entire event.
LH drove better than I expected. His qualy needs help.

Antonelli is just an exciting passing machine. Well done Toto give him a bit better car and watch!

Nice improvement over Suzuka but we know the tires are the factor affecing/enabling this today.

Well, today showed if Max struggles the rest of the season I guess we can finish behind McLaren and Mercedes. Otherwise best they can hope for is fourth best team.

Charles drove a strong race. I think he is now racing with his mind. I'm not a Russell fan, but he did good to make those tires last. I'm glad Hamilton held it together.

Best race of the year so far, not a high bar but still. Very impressive performance from Oscar.

Great drive from Piastri and Leclerc.

Quite how Norris didn't even get passed Russell is utterly beyond me. The racecraft he showed there was TERRIBLE.

Kimi Antonelli was unlucky this race, should've been a top 5 really.

Max...how did he salvage 6th from that?! No lights at the pitstop, that horrendous Hard, then switch tyres early only for the wheels to not get off, to then the SC giving everyone except him a new set of tyres...

Congrats on Yuki for some points in that wheelbarrow.

I would rather see Oscar become WDC. I have no ill feelings towards Landon, but that would be my preference

Ferrari got some luck with the SC, but strong drives anyway.
    Piastri looking unflappable.
Considering the tires, DRS and apparently serious brake issues Russel did one hell of a job.

They should record more drivers watching race highlights, funny stuff

why did Ferrari go to hard tires instead of medium like McLaren. would Leclerc have been able to hold off Norris with mediums?

They had already two stints with medium, so they had to go for the other compound.

    not luck, screwed!

8-10 more laps and he could have gone on softs, although it looks like they would have gone hard... snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory.

If not Max (which is looking increasingly more of a pipe dream) I really hope for Piastri to win the title. He'd be a very popular champion, too.

This might turn out to become an interesting WDC season after all:

Looks like a true fight between the McLaren boys. Good.

Max, Russel and Chuck are the occasional spoilers who might even win something.

It says a lot when the highlight of the race was Piastri being told to drink and replying “I would if it wasn’t broken”. The “race” was only marginally more exciting than Suzuka.

Aside from Antonelli staking his claim to rookie of the year, closely followed by Bearman, there really wasn’t much else to comment on.

Norris is Zak's boy; though Piastri is making a rather good case to not let preferential treatment interfere early.

Australia - Piastri told to not fight "because of traffic" (easiest way to overtake)
Japan - Much faster Piastri told discussion was going on but nothing happened
Bahrain - Piastri established himself properly whilst Norris let a few off track comments get to his head (...once again).

Won't be long before Piastri pulls another Monza on Norris and gloves will be off.
