  1. bumpy road has nothing to do with how aggressive the DCT shifts

changing the traction control settings (i.e., wet, sport, esc off, etc.) will, however. but even then, it will depend on how you drive and how aggressive you are on the throttle to some extent.

Yes i know that about bumpy road mode, hence the random question prefix.
I simply couldn't remember if the shifts are always as aggressive as i felt it yesterday, i could have sworn it was buttery smooth before, but it could simply be that i was driving more gingerly.
Guess i have an excuse to go drive it again.

765 in Sport mode 100% not seamless. More aggressive than 296. I guess it’s slightly more aggressive than 765 in Track (mcl) / Race (Fezza)

Shifts are better than McLaren in every mode. Wet and Sport modes are similar to McLaren in shift aggressiveness, but still faster. Race mode on 296 does get aggressive; similar to McLaren in track mode but 296 still better :)

I believe you 1000%. Why they dropped in price is beyond me.

But what amazes me is they use the cheapest truckers in the business. Why is Ferrari using Russians to ship cars. This sales manager said he only speaks the truth. But as far as shipping it’s all ********. Yesterday they told me pickup Monday delivery on Tuesday. Now it’s pick up on Tuesday still delivery on Tuesday 600 miles away. It’s amazing that they’ll sour a deal by lying about delivery dates. Porsche never did that. Lamborghini never did that. So far I’m 4 days behind the original promised delivery date.

I saw this idiot McLaren kid speed phenom on YouTube saying the McLaren 750 which has lost every head to head test with the 296, was better than the 296.
‘He didn’t even put the Ferrari in race mode

This is the time dilation feature of the 296. I’ve actually gotten a few seconds younger while taking the 296 close to redline.

I’d have to look at my physics book. I’m an Aviation engineer not a physicist but I think as you get closer to the speed of light time slows down. EXCEPT when Waiting on your 296 you can be sitting still and time slows to a crawl. Especially when the sales guy says Saturday and it’s the following week

I wanted to like the Fiorano but drove 2 and while turnin was 10-15% better on the same tires, there was this strange undulation that would persist after driving on an undulating road. Made me feel like I need to get off it until it settled down.

Have talked with 2 dealers who noticed the same thing.

I live with crappy roads, and driving the 296 non AF back to back vs STO, 750S, NSX, Z06 it's still more agile feeling so I don't really miss AF.

Got to drive a 750S today and was surprised, much better than I remember the 720S being.

Less lag, more agile feeling, better sound though not amazing. Maybe a bit less good handling traction than 296. Braking feeling not as confidence inspiring but live-able. Steering feel didn't feel in the amazing class but could feel the front end better than in 296. Dealer demo. But on P Zeros, which probably penalized them a bit.

I didn't go back to back since I was in another city but I think I'd always take 296 over 750S if choosing 1 - due to sound, linear power, light feeling, visibility, and braking despite crappy haptics (I like the displays though). But I might take 750S over F8 despite F8's lower lag, which I wouldn't have thought would be true pre drive.

There were several tests were things were close but most thought like you, they’d take the 296 over the 750S . Speed phenom however spoke as tho the 296 didn’t even belong in the same conversation. Which is just silly. He didn’t even put the 296 into track mode. Funny the sketch monkey or Blembi, an artist on YouTube loves the 296 and really didn’t like the F8. I always thought the F8 was nice but he said it’s a 458 with stick ons and cut outs

  15. Youtube is like meth.

It'll give you a fun time, but turns your brain into mashed potatoes.
