2003 575M Jumping Into Neutral — Solved! My 2003 575M started acting up — unexpectedly slipping into neutral. It would do this either while cruising sedately in 4th or when shifting between 5th and 6th with a bit of spirited driving. I took her to a couple of specialists, but no one could pinpoint the issue. I scoured the forums, but that only added more confusion to the mix. It didn’t seem like a dodgy clutch — after all, I could still lay down some lovely N011s from a standstill in sport mode. I even tried a relay swap... no luck. Then, by pure chance, I bumped into a technician Jack from GVE in London. Jack mentioned they had a genius tech called Bruce who could fix anything on any supercar (sure, I thought... heard that one before). Still, I got in touch with Bruce, and he asked me to drop the car off. He warned there’d be a lead time of about three weeks, but said if the car was there and he found a gap, he’d take a look. A couple of weeks later, I rang my contact Ahmed at GVE — and, as luck would have it, Bruce was out on a test drive in my car right then. Later that day, I received a text: car ready for collection. When I arrived, Ahmed told me Bruce had re-calibrated the gearbox, and that should solve the issue. The invoice? VERY competitive — I honestly expected to pay double, especially after dealing with other Ferrari specialists. I left slightly sceptical, but that was quickly wiped away. I took her out for a solid hour-long shakedown run, pushing her hard — and she performed flawlessly. Since then, I’ve put about 200 miles on the clock with zero issues. Maybe I just got lucky… or maybe Bruce really is a bit of a unicorn when it comes to supercars. Either way, I’ll be using GVE with confidence from now on.
