I installed CarPlay in my 458.
Hi sorry to jump on here but not sure how this works. Looking at a 2019 488 Spider with 11k miles- is 11k miles too many? Asking 299K. Has full PPF. MSRP was 359 so nice options. Also had the new extended warranty Ferrari added to 2019+ years this past Jan,
Ah, thanks. I’m obviously not familiar with the 458. There are aftermarket screens available for CarPlay retrofit, but most are largish.

New rear main seal, new pilot bearing, friction disc, pressure plate, throw out bearing, throw out Bearing carrier seal, cleaned and highlighted the timing marks on the flywheel for better visibility for future timing. I went for a nice putt putt out to the country, glad the buyer disappeared. This car drives great, before and after the service Image Unavailable, Please Login
That’s great just hope you got that washer out before putting the housing back Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's awesome! I'm actually looking forward to doing the same work. On the A** Pain Scale, how would you rate this job? What special tools are required to have on hand?
How tough a job is this? I've done clutches on Mustangs, but you just remove the transmission and then you have access. This looks quite a bit more involved
Actually that is not a washer, that’s part of the bracket for the oil/water separator which is secured by one of the bell housing bolt. I know it looks like a washer from the photo but believe me it’s not. Well if you have not done it before a scale of 1-10 (10 meaning the hardest) I would say 7 maybe 6 if you’re mechanically inclined and also depending on the condition of the car. And as far as special tools required? Clutch alignment tool and pilot bearing puller, and of course a torque wrench. Since you’re only removing the bell housing as I mentioned above I would say 6 to 7, (10 meaning the hardest) probably the hardest part is removing everything that’s in the way of the bell housing.
Image Unavailable, Please Login Oh yes I forgot you do need this 45mm ring nut socket for the lower transfer gear. Sorry Rodney I forgot to tell you about the stool.

I try to do the oil service of my 328, BUT the F. dealer did not know very well parts number for old car I think and the washer provided is not the good one
Took it out for a ride. My wife and I decided to go to a park and walk around. It was packed! Took us about 20 minutes do get through it barley moving. The temps got to about 230 or 240 before I was on open road. They slowly came down to about the line between 190 and 250. I had to cut through another small street and it got hot agin. AC doesn't work but If I turn it on it does activate one fan. Interstate home cooled but by the time I got home it was at about 230 or 240. I have a new thermostat and temp sensor for the radiator. I guess I won't be driving till I do all the work I planed on.
I had the exact same issue. You probably need to burp the cooling system to get the air out. (Which begs the question, "How did air get in?"). On mine, air was entering through a bad water pump seal. After replacing the pump, doing the obligatory 'while I'm in here stuff', and purging all the air out, mine runs cool as a cucumber.
Yea in the park I had no where to stop. The second time I did pull it over and shut it off. I kept the fan running to cool what i could in the radiator. @rwbolt1 I will try burping it agin just to see if I have a small leak. I cant find one. Depending on what Comes out of it when I run the flush through it I may take the radiator in to be cleaned out. My biggest worry is working a head or blowing a head gasket.
