Similar story here except it is my son but I told him he would have to pry the keys from my fingers if rigor mortice has set.
I mean, look at this car, I modded it for me (430 mirrors, etc.) and it is so damn pretty.

"Why did you buy a 360?"

-> More or less by accident. Not a car accident but a manual Spider just basically fell into my lap so I had to catch it.

IMO, the 360 is the perfect blend of digital and analog. It's the first car of the new design language of the twenty first century and it's the first Ferrari designed to mimic Porsche usability and reliability.

Thank you, but as was said a long time ago, a body shop MUST remove the '430 imprint" to make it work

I think we need a thread about 'Why did you keep your 360'... now 20 years in I have a few pearls I could share on that one :)

I bought my 360 after 16 years of Lotus Esprit ownership. Although I loved the Esprit and it had given me 30,000 miles of happy, reliable driving, I wanted a change and so 5 years ago I started looking for S550’s. All the cars I saw had something wrong with them and then I chanced on 360 advert from a local dealer. When I saw the car I had to have it, it looked fantastic and the car had an amazing service history. I’m so glad I bought it. The car is a dream to drive, it has been very reliable and I am so proud to own it.

I always loved Ferraris the way I think most people do - obsessing with them as a kid and then growing up admiring them from afar, but never seriously considering buying one.

For many years I was strictly a Porsche guy, and I was very happy with my 1997 993 Carrera 4S. It was everything that I wanted in a gorgeous package, but it was starting to show its age in terms of performance and design. I thought for sure I would sell it an buy a new 911, but I just could not let my fabulous little C4S go. That's when I started to look at 360s and 430s as its stablemate. While the 430 is a better car in practically every aspect, I just loved the elegant, sleek lines of the 360 and the simple, practicality of its cockpit. (My wife still says our 360 looks like it's going 100 mph even when it is standing still.)

I think I already convinced myself that I was going to buy one when I told my (now departed) father-in-law, who is Italian, that I was thinking about buying a Ferrari. In his no nonsense way, all he said was, "do it before I die." How do I deny this man his wish?

In 2014 I watched as my beautiful 2003 Ferrari 360 Modena with F1 transmission was unloaded off an enclosed trailer during a light rain. My father-in-law knew what he was talking about, and we all celebrated in my garage with Prosecco. It turned out to be a great car in every way: beautiful, reliable, and fast (enough). But even more so it was a great investment in life. I may not always have a Porsche in my garage, but I will always have room for a Ferrari! Thanks for reading my post.
