I’ve shifted my search away from Targas given market conditions and decided I just don’t need the drama that often comes with an older car, even as reliable and satisfying as the air cooled boxers sixes are.

I’ve owned a Boxster RS60 in the past and was very happy with it. Newer ones are too laden with tech for me. The 981 generation seems to be the sweet spot in terms of value and driving satisfaction, so I’m looking specifically for a 981 (2012/13-2016), must be an “S” and must be a 6-speed MT. Open to any color except black.

I regularly monitor the usual suspects….BAT, Pcar Market, PCA Mart, PCNA dealer inventory, etc. Leads or referrals are also appreciated.

    Thanks!

Nice choice, I think the manual S is the sweet spot. GTS is also nice but not worth the premium to some. I wouldn’t part with my Spyder for anything. Simply love it.

By the way, as well as including the GTS I should have excluded the Spyder.
    Thanks, all.

I have one in my collection with 8K miles, 2013, 6 speed, 981 S, nice build.
Pristine condition 1+ top of market car.
Am not planning on selling as it is a very nice car and they are hard to find in this condition but for the right offer I may part with it. ;)
Drop me a note if interested.

Thanks, Phil. I just received it on my BAT feed about 30 minutes ago. I wish it had more performance options, but at least the sport exhaust sounds right! Good luck on your search. I’ve missed a few in the last couple of weeks.

A 987.2 S is an acceptable alternative. There’s one that meets mt specs on BAT but it’s black/black.:(

If you're in the market for a 981 Spyder, feel free to shoot me a PM with your price range.

Mine has just 2K miles—virtually brand new. It’s spec’d with every available factory option and then some, and it carries a highly significant collector history.

It’s priced above typical market value and isn’t publicly listed. Still on the fence about letting it go or keeping it in the collection.
