Very nice! I think we're in the same boat, I'm in need a few more though (154771, 154737, 164392, 159427, and 159448). I've been talking with a local YouTube guy who is in the process of engine swapping his 355 (don't shoot the messenger) so I've been bugging him to come by and see if he'd let me scan his tower. I'll report back if I make any progress there.

If you have CAD of any of the parts I mentioned, I'd be happy to return the favor!

I've talked to that guy in Maryland, too. He's got parts from that flood car all over eBay right now. What scanner do you use? I will gladly help cover any costs relating to scanning.

I'll check tonight and see what I've got. I have modeled the buffer and some of the couplers. I can model anything else. I had the ball pivot and cage 3d printed in titanium and PEEK, but then I found OEM parts. The printed parts are good though. I'm planning to have my control box SLS printed in aluminum once the design is done. I'm just hoping to get a real one first so I can make a perfect copy.

Here are some buffer parts I had made by SendCutSend.

    154771: I have a functional 3d model, but I'm looking for a real one.

154737: There are two on eBay right now. FerrParts has a new one still in cosmoline for $175. I also have a model of it.

164392: This is the same as the 308 part but longer. I have a model for this with the correct length.

I have both of these parts and modeled one of them. I'll model the other. Simple 3d print in SS with a touch of machining on the bores.

This place is incredible! I'd be happy to contribute what I can as well, I'm working on modeling parts as they come in. This is what I have so far, let me know if you want any of these files. The parts with two numbers are the closest McMaster equivalent that I could find.

Also consider the option of casting parts. If the part geometry is suitable, often using silicone casting based off of a mint OEM part will give more fidelity and more control over material properties vs. 3D printing.

Getting our hands on an OEM part is the challenge.

Not yet. I need to make some tweaks as a few dimensions were a little off. I'll cycle back to this after I finish my shifter. You need one?

We have them in stock. Have sold about 40 of them over the last few years. We sell them in raw 3d or sanded, smoothed and painted.

I noticed your model for the radio surround is shorter than original when comparing the 2. Not sure if you noticed it when you compare.

No, I didn't notice it. When I placed it in the car it looked correct, but I didn't study it too closely. I think John's (?) model was an improvement over mine. I think both are better than nothing and most wouldn't catch the difference.

At the end of the day I'd just buy one that's already finished, if I needed it. When I offered to do this there weren't any other options. Similar with the ashtray... I don't have much desire to complete it since there are finished options available for purchase. The next part I'm focusing on is the manual shifter control box. I can't but one so I'm having to design it from scratch. I'd rather just buy one.

We got a new resin printer at work, so i tried the surround file someone shared earlier. Worked quite nice and i think you could use it without any post processing other than cleaning/curing.

Still waiting for our curing station delivery, so this one is authentic ferrari at the moment, being a bit sticky.

Saturn 4 is a good machine and what I used to print it. You can set it in the sun for a bit to finish curing rather than wait for your wash and cure to arrive.

On the car installed it looks fine and one wouldn’t be able to tell a difference. But comparing 2 parts side by side, it’s a few mm shorter (measured at longest length).
