Hi FChatters....anyone seeing this please explain to me what makes a 550 seat "Daytona-style" vs "regular" ? Other than the sewn-in or heat-glued "Daytona" contrasting color leather strips / inserts attached to seating area ...what else? Not asking about Carbon Fiber which do appear to have different side/bolster, seat & back rest design /shape/size ...eg all seating surfaces, not bases...vs "Regular". It is my observation Leather Inserts seem to be THE primary difference? Could this be The Only difference? Any input greatly appreciated & thank you, Jack [email protected] if pics cannot be posted Fchat
I believe you’re correct, DAYTONA seats are just the regular seat but with the contrasting stripes and possibly venting in the leather.
Different inserts in the same seats. Here are representative images. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Standard seats aka "none Daytonas" are uncommon: Here is what they look like. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Correct, sorry should have added that I was adding context about what similar look like in the 575 as its rather rare to see in those cars. I would guess the vast majority of cars got daytonas in that generation of cars (at of those flagged for the US) I agree though personally I find the 550 seats to be more comfortable and also more aesthetically pleasing with their slightly rounded edges
Thank you guys....I have an extra set of matching 550 seats that I am going to "add the Daytona inserts".....my coupe is TdF/Tan...I am toying around idea BLUE or BLACK inserts. I have seen Tan w/ BLUE inserts & like the contrast.. Appreciate your time & thoughtfulness , Jack
