Really? How so? Do you get other people to drive your car so you can stand on the pavement and hear how it sounds from the outside?
Yes, or when driving through a tunnel, which is a lot of fun with a naturally aspirated V12. I hope we will see something very special on Tuesday but my hopes are low that we will see something like the 458 and 458 Speciale 488 and 488 Pista or 812 and 812 Competizione or even SF90 and XX.
Your statements are contradictory. Especially as many people just hope that the cars will fall in value. An XX is a very limited car with great emotions and a road presence that even Porsche drivers stop and take pictures. There are some XX with a nice configuration, not the standard configuration like the silver/orange presentation konfig. that changed owners for 800-900 thousand over list. The same applies to at least 812 Competizione. The cars will no longer exist like 812 Competizione and that makes them very interesting. By the way, far too many people have become car speculators, especially people in the mid-30-50s. people even hope to make money with a Roma Spider. Purosangue is a solid car and the best SUV in terms of emotions and sound and without a hybrid and that will no longer be possible with the successor simply because of the emissions regulations in the EU. Purosangue are still far above list price in the EU, if you get 130-150 thousand dollars above list price for such a car, Ferrari has done something right. V12 naturally aspirated engine and no V6 TT is my guess.
The audio file is on the My Ferrari app. Go to your profile - then Notification Centre. I received a Notification 24 days ago titled, "A new driving thrill awaits". "Hear the new Ferrari Special Series before you see it."
New SF90 gen is a big power increase - makes room for VS XX hp - more than stated otherwise couldn't run even with SF90. Ferrari is producing more hp than stated and this is Ferrari's chance to prove the 296 with VS. If VS expectations weren't high - Pista would skyrocket like Speciale. Personally always like the first version - 360 imo best looking vs 430 458 488
"If VS expectations weren't high the Pista would be skyrocketing like Speciale." This is a great point. More and more Pistas are listed every day on authorized dealer websites at buy it now prices.
They’re too high. I bought mine for $330k in 2020. A good car for that number. I liked it very much. For $550k I’d have been very let down. Doesn’t warrant that price.
I heard the 296 VS has elements of the SF90. Not sure if my source was referring to the SF90 XX or the normal one. I was thinking of the XX s-ducts, but he didn't confirm that. Source is someone, who's seen it already.
In Europe, there have been 20 fewer cars since the beginning of the year. The prices for the cars are rising there because it is the last V8 mid-engine without hybrid and OPF.
BaT just sold high mileage 625k 812 comp is worth 3 Speciales and still producing NA V12 Every rear engine Ferrari does well in track version NA V8 final version.
Z06 sounds better than 458 / Speciale. It's unbelievable good sounding. Worth it for that alone. And I can park it anywhere and not worry about it. And it connects to my phone upon entering and if I get a call a lady doesn't scream at me and scare me to the point of near accidents every time.
Offered 825k for mine - it makes a lot more sense than you selling at 550k making 220k vs I450k profit. Owning Ferrari's FWIW is not about making sense - 2000 people ordered a VS from a sound bite. Jay Leno - "you sold too soon", meaning why let the other guy have all the fun. It's why we are here!
So this may surprise you but I don't care at all about making or losing money at cars. I'm not speaking about the value from a perspective of investment. I'm speaking about the experience of using the car vs the price. It's not worth it for the prices they're trading at today. More enjoyable alternatives.
I'd take a Huracan Performante (VS version of the Huracan) any day of the week over a Speciale. Especially at less than half the price. To me it's a better driver's car and the sound of the Speciale isn't even in the same league as the Performante.
I guess you are referring to an Icona car. Yes, there is room for such a romantic car in the Icona series, for those who still live in the 1990's.
VS transmission sounds interesting almost like a pneumatic sequential. No way would Ferrari change from dct would they?
