Yep, other than that it looks nice. Except for the 22 inch wheels...but that can be corrected.

Top Marques always screws up when making vintage models.

This latest obvious screw ups on the LM just reaffirms what I have said & written numerous times over the years. The majority of people running model companies who crank out hundreds to thousands 0f models are not genuine enthusiasts, they know very little, and are much too cheap to ever do proper research or to spend a little extra (if anything) to make accurate models. They simply don't care about what they are selling. They produce many models with glaring faults, and if questioned or anything wrong is pointed out, they never give honest answers, only excuses, and sometimes lies. They might as well be making and selling sausages. And...in some ways, equally guilty are the model dealers who are clueless, and don't care.

Well...at least I saved some money... again!

Wow!It is terrible....but you would look at the real car sold in this days for many dollars....Why they put the "21"if they forget all the others stamps? Furthermore the rear grilles are bigger than the real ones...etc...So the models sellers are allowed to do any mistake they dont'care.....

True. With today's technologies, manufacturers have no excuse, especially at large scales.

I have their Reims winner version on pre-order.... Now I'm not sure I want it. I am always amazed by some of the incredibly stupid mistakes CMC makes. The word "accuracy" is one they are completely unfamiliar with in any language.

Hopefully that’s a prototype and the error will be corrected before production? I preordered the #21 LeMans winner…The one with the 12 cylinder engine.

I spoke too soon, I was incorrectly influenced a little by post #2061. That said, I must admit jumping the gun and making a mistake/misstatement. This is what happens when I don’t spend the time doing a deeper dive – my own checking!!!
So after reading about the air intakes, I contacted CMC directly and received the following reply this morning from Roland Neuffer, Product Manager along with the attached screenshot photo:
“Dear Mr. Buck, Our model has 12 air intakes, just like the original. You just can`t see the rear 2 very well, as they are half hidden under a small sheet of tin plate.
Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best Regards
    CMC GmbH & Co. KG
    Classic Model Cars
    Roland Neuffer
    Product Manager”

Based on their answer, all I can say is.... They should have seen that issue in their own publicity photo(s) and taken/shown photos showing all 12 in takes. And perhaps those intakes are are a little too hidden under that small sheet of tin plate...

I just received more correspondence from CMC asking me a bit more about their photos. So, I looked more, and also went through some of my own 250 LM research photos.... I would firmly say that the "small sheet of tin plate” that was mentioned and shown in their photos is not correctly sized, shaped or placed. It hides two intakes much too much. At least the intakes are there, but the tin sheet is all wrong!

I bought the 126C2 made by MCG. It is very budget friendly ( I paid 75 Euro, shipping included) and I think MCG captures the lines better than GP Replicas. Ofcourse this model sin´t as finely detailed as the GP Replicas sample, but I can't complain for the money. The tires have a nice and realistic texture. Only the rear tires have a tiny crease in the middle, that could be easily sanded. The engine detail is all there, but it's clearly to see that it's plastic. But some more paint detailing could fix that if you want to.
The overall fit and finish is good. The decals are crisp. I only needed to buff the paint a bit. It isn't the best, containing micro scratches. But after the buff it looks fine.
The model comes with a driver figure. The helmet is fine and includes a face that isn´t cartoonish like the figures from Tecnomodels. But the body unfortunately is way too skinny and the arms are completely out of proportion. So I took out the figure (it is merely glued in). Suprisingly, there's quite a bit of detailing inside the cockpit that is hard to see. There is a seat (but no seatbelts as they are painted onto the figure), and even a shifter with shiftrod. And two red fire extinguishers that are hidden down the footwell.
I kept the helmet and put it on the sidepod.
I can recommend this model for those who don´t want or can´t afford the higher price of GP Replicas (or BBR).

    Hello Alberto,

I believe MCG is asociated with the German model car shop Modelcarworld and I bought it from them directly. I assume other retailers will get the models soon, like Carmodel.com for example. But unfortunately I'm not familiar with shops in the US.
