2000 360 with 18000 miles. Suddenly have a loud, clunking differential noise whenever I turn steering wheel full left or right. What to do? Change the oil? Someone recommended a differential friction modifier and limited slip lubricant by A.C. Delco. Thoughts?

Check the oil for coolant first , and make sure level is ok
I would then change the fluid and put in Ravenol VSG in - also cleaning filter

I assume you narrowed it down to transmission / diff and not half axle issue etc

If not look there as well

Ya, simplest check: Look inside the coolent tank for oil. If you see a sheen, or actual oil, your heat exchanger just cost you a nice fortune.

Don't drive around if eventually oil is present in the coolant reservoir. You could SEVERELY harm your transmission.

I started to check on the radiator fluid in the expansion tank to see if there was any oil in there and it was completely dry. Am about to buy some antifreeze (Shell), bring it up to temp then see. Thanks for the info

If coolant is empty .. i would definitely check gear oil .. it may be that all the coolant tis in there and you don't want to cause anymore damage
If you read my post you quoted - I mention to check gear oil for coolant
    Check the gearbox oil ASAP
