What should I ask for in regards to a discount off asking price for this damage on a 458 Italia?

On first blush, is it a removal and respray or a fill and touch type of situation?

Just get a quote and add a bit on for your time .could be hiding something more sinister tho . Strange to have a crack like that may have took a tear end and had a bad repair

That's a new bumper cover - if they patch it it will fail

Definitely investigate that and get a quote to replace the bumper and deduct from the price they are asking.

Could just be paint cracking. Ferrari paint is not always Sistine chapel level.

A good bumper off repaint (including sanding down and primer) should run $2K. Maybe $2500 max.

The rear bumper is GRP so repair should be lasting if done well.

I would be more concerned it has been hit, or looking at the slight paint inconsistency, it has had a repair in the past.

Suggest the inside of the bumper be inspected. It is accessible via wheel arch or engine bay.

Fibreglass essentially. So unlike most thermoplastic bumpers, they are as repairable as a boat.
