Looks old and dated, something from the 60s, the original wheels looks miles better. The tires are too wide for the wheels which makes them ugly and meaty.
Here is another great example and probably the nicest of all in my opinion, it never fails with BBS LMs. Fronts : 8.5x19 ET55 Rears : 10x19 ET52 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Whatever dick. Does it matter if you own a 348 or 355 or whatever? A 355 on 20” wheels is still stupid. Pretty stupid on 19” wheels.
The OP liked 348 photos in -his- own thread so I would consider him the authority on the matter. 348's on 19 and 20 certainly seems relevant to me.
I still don't get why people are still coming in this thread just to declare their hate to 19 or 20" wheels, while the topic name is clearly setting the subjet. If you don't like it, why bother posting? There is so many other topics here... @lanab, we're such a minority to like modified cars, so as 348/355 are pretty close cars, no reason to fight each others.
Of all the many tropes on forums “stay on topic” is the most persistent. I can see both sides. But realistically, when having a conversation with other people the topics stray. It’s just what we humans do. The one trope that *does* make me crazy is “it’s their car they can do what they want to it”. Yeah, we know. That’s always implied in any critique.
OP’s first post from 2012: “I know many of you don't like bigger wheels on your 355. However, I've been surfing the web and have came up with some pics you might or might not enjoy of 355's with 19" and 20 rims.” This can easily be interpreted also as a “what not to do” thread. So it’s for both audiences. “Oh, that’s dope!” “Nah, that’s whack!”

My opinion is 19’s on smaller cars such as the 355 kill the sleek and slender profile. Makes it look short and bulky … 350z ish. I’ve held this opinion for 2 decades. This thread only re confirms it.
I was one of the first guys to put 19 inch wheels on my RX-7 20 years ago. SSR MS-1’s step lip. People got wet over the stance because they had not yet seen an RX-7 with such aggressive wheels. This was back when 1 piece wheels barely had any concavity. It looked good up until the point you park next to an NSX with proper 18/17 inch wheels and stance. The car starts looking like a pig by comparison and even worse when rolling as the wheels just look like a huge block of metal .. step lip or not. You realize quickly the NSX’s sleek, slender, and sharp wedge profile looks twice a fast of a car just at standstill and your car suddenly looks like Rosie O Donnell, although the cars are the same size. Bought some 1 piece forged wheels in 18’s and never looked back. Buy some 19’s or 20’s for your 355. Go to an NSX meet and park next to a few NSX’s with proper 18/17 wheels. If your 355 is struggling to look better, that should tell you something. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Your making me miss my old NSX so much. I still have a set of 17F/18R wheels I bought explicitly for a 'future' NSX. Hopefully someday I can use them.
