I love a car like this, with a bit of patina! I wonder how much rust it has, though? The pics are not great for figuring that out.

Depending on personal expectations and given the overall condition suggested by listing photos, I wouldn't call it "low", but rather realistic, if not high.
    YMMV.

Likely just a first of many checks to be signed if expectations are to make her a reliable driver, let alone competitive in judged concours circuits, but hey, it's only money and nothing that changing the first digit of the six figure outlay can't fix. ;)

And if I was a gambling man, based on listing photos, I'd bet she likely has rust and probably not just a little.

Are Daytonas particularly prone to rust?

In my experience, not much different or more than most cars manufactured 50+ years ago, regardless of make or model.
Like with all cars, it’s mainly about the environment they are or were used in and care/maintenance they received throughout their lives.

My understanding is yes. I have also been told that Scaglietti built cars, such as the Daytona, are much more prone to rust than Pininfarina built cars, such as the 365GT and GTC/4... and based on cars I have looked at (or owned), that does seem to hold true.
