A true expert, artisan knows exactly what all of that is, what it does, what chassis number each piece belongs to... both via sight and smell alone.
During one of the Youtube videos the entire shop looked like that. Taking a Countach engine apart he was working on the floor because every other flat space was so heap high with debris there was no other place to work.
I am completely ignorant about this fellow, have read just a few lines, he is a scoundrel, that much is clear, and he has abused many. Ranging between the real and the absurd, 606 posts, are a bit over the top. My point, should he be deserving everybody's attention at this juncture? What a waste of time, or so it seems to me. Whenever, if he gets/does not, a sentence, post it, and be done. Regards, Alberto
A. Maybe in your country this is more common than here. Here fortunately its not terribly common so there is a higher level of outrage. B. Keeping his name in the forefront is a valuable tool to try and prevent others from falling victim. C. If you tire of it feel free to ignore the thread.
I am completye A. This in not exclusive to any country. It happens here, as it does in the Vatican, so please don't feel as the only 'uncommon country' where everybody is honest, and no, in mine we keep a very 'tight leash'. Unlike here. Your President wants to send the likes of Callaway to mine, as evidently, here the system may not work. B. There's a sucker born everyday, even if you tell him about Donnie. C. I do ignore it, but it stares me in the face in a section I like. Why keep him in the Vintage Section? Maybe open a new section titled: "Scoundrels, thieves, and assorted crooks, etc." Then, we can all post about them all. Regards, Alberto
No. Just not. That's a **** show. I've been around race prepp people and been in Rob Walton's collection and around the guys who maintain/maintained his absolutely insane collection of some of the most historically significant cars ever made... That photo... That is a **** show. That is someone who is not organized. No organized thoughts or methods. Not an artisan. An absolute trainwreck... And that is how we are here in this thread.
I can’t claim that I have authority to speak for @robertcope however it may be safe to say his post may contain some sarcasm.
You are correct Haha, no worries, I should have added a good old fashioned "/s" for clarity. You are absolutely correct, that's just a disgusting shop. Mine is often messy compared to some, but... not like that. I have the same 10mm sockets that I had almost 30 years ago, so I must be doing something right! I don't understand anyone falling for this guy (and guys like him).
I was really hoping you were just kidding. We sound similar... I don't know how people fall for it either but THEY DO! I thought you were another one defending it and then looking at it through rise tinted glasses people do believe and say **** like that and call these people artisans lol. You got me. You played the duped civilian really well. Lol. I took the bait. Hahahaha
It's hard for some to let go when justice takes a holiday, and I can't blame them. I had a forum vendor cheat me out of $400 almost 20 years ago, and the way they did it was so reprehensible that to this day I will advise newbies to look at comments and reviews before doing business with them. And since their reputation speaks for itself, other options usually come out on top. Can't imagine what I would do if cheated out of tens of thousands of dollars.
Shark, the amount you are cheated out of, is not really the big issue. $400 or $4.....K, is the same. Cheat is cheat. It hurts more, as the amount rises, but at the end, the cheats, are only that. Little pathetic runts, that derive joy (or other thrills) from cheating, because that is their way of living, and they assume THAT is the life. Poor pathetic nothings. I feel sorry for their mediocre (worst insult on earth) meanderings, but that is all they are. Mediocre nothings. And, you know who you are, right? No matter who covers for you, right? I was cheated here, and the little t..ds had defending friends. Wow. The best, is that they are all accomplices in what clearly was the truth/lie, depending the side of the coin. I dare them to prove otherwise. ....crickets.... I understand, what you are saying, and I have have had the same experience, and these mice know who they are, from teeny insignificant ones, to others with legal threats. They just don't really know me, and my reach. Everyone has a teeny soft spot. Time, ahhh, time...takes its toll, no? The mills of the Gods. All the same, no matter how many times they go see a priest (or what have you), get absolved, but they still are what you scrape from the bottom of your shoe. The trick, is to be savy, and learn human character. I know, easy to say, difficult to put into practice. Fool me once.... Fool me twice....as the old saying goes. Regards, Alberto
This bad publicity here for such conmen is to be encouraged. If anything this community can help other of his type to think twice about trying anything of the sort.
Just posting because I am on page 16 and want to finish this tonight. What an absolute thread. Will post my thoughts later as I have learned a lot. I was under the impression Donnie had been wrongly convicted because I only learned of him via TST!
sooo, out on bail now? Scott Michael Nathan: "Donnie "The Ferrari Swindler" Callaway makes bail as case gets represented back to Grand Jury." .

Great interview! > > > > BUT, do you have any info/update on Donny TODAY? Is he out on bail? or are his legal proceedings over/resolved? THANKS .
He somehow managed to get the Arizona case dismissed. Sources tell me there are more cases to come in various jurisdictions.
