It would be easier if you have a 296 yes but people who have a pista or a challenge car are eligible too

Just to clarify the facts and reassure some of us. The 296 Speciale will be produced until the 296 is replaced by the Modificata version, which will be presented at the end of 2026 or early 2027. At the time of the presentation, the 296 Speciale will still be in production, and will enter about 6 months after the production of the first press cars for the M version. At that time, the 296 Speciale will still produced. it was when the production of the first 296 M customer began that the production of the Speciale would gradually but rather rigidly cease. Until then, all those who want one will be served, knowing that not all 296 owners will add 250 k to get a Speciale...
When it comes to dealers who encourage you to buy a Roma spider to be eligible, the reason is simple: the factory gives them sales volumes to respect by model. The Roma is going to be replaced, and the factory requirements are for this model which sells less well.
The destocking of the 296 is also topical.
It's up to you to see if you want to enter into this variable that is not standardized between dealerships.

not being disrespectful...are you suggesting there will be a car (not the Piloti) above the Speciale? This makes no sense given what is known. That said, there probably will be (what was called) the Piloti..maybe they use a different name. Perhaps you are thinking the updated of the 296 will be called the Modificata and those cars will be sold at the same time as the Speciale. Bottom line, the Speciale is the end of the line...Piloti version aside.

So basically, the "Speciale" is really just like a facelift or option package than a true special series. Sorry guys, but it's true. This car is just another Ferrari marketing gimmick.

I'm not suggesting anything at all, I'm just telling you that the idea of a 296 a little more Speciale "was" studied from the moment the Hurracán STO was dissected in detail, and that we have seen running for quite a long time.
Nothing to do with the 296 M or phase 2, which is the replacement of the 296.
And in a different register, the new Dino was practically ready when the project was stopped. If so, it will not be the first or the last time !!!

That's the answer to give them whenever they ask to sign for a ROFR I guess.

This is crazy. I'm very glad I talked to you and got your experience to prepare myself.

If I decide to go through with the build, I will place a build for the roma spider. By the time the roma comes, I expect a deposit and an allocation in place ready for me to build and we should be in the process of speccing my 296 VS. If that isn't the case, and they give me some bs about allocation allotment taking too long or whatever the **** they wanna say, I will refuse the roma build and they can deal with the unsold car. The roma will take a year and a half to deliver anyway, and if I don't have an allocation in place for this car by then, I probably won't get the car anyway. If it ruins the relationship, I will go to the other dealer and move on.

I think he refers to the Modificata as the next-gen car, like the 488 after the 458, or new SF90 coming out as the XX is being built. The typical lifespan of the 296 will be done by then.

I think it’s along the same lines as the Pista, or Scuderia, or SF90XX. A special series for sure, but that means the replacement is on the way for the 296 altogether.

This is one of the two good ideas of Marchionne with the birth of the Icona range and the Monza, which was initially a one-off project.
A car without hybridization based on chassis 296 and with a very very beautiful design.
I consider it as a Joker , and if they are in financial difficulty at some point, they will release her.

As an outside observer, from a strategy and product standpoint, ferrari would have been better off to have a hybrid and a non-hybrid rear-mid engine car. Having both as hybrid has only hurt values. 6 cylinder could have been a non-hybrid focused solely on keeping weight down and driving dynamics while sf90 could have focused on the pure numbers and driving to keep these baseless hp wars alive.

And just to put a pin in this: I didn't. Sales told me to hold on until yesterday.

What @day355 said about the 296M has me keeping some thought of a future possibility, but even then, I've been deep in thought for the past 24 hours about changing things up.

Are we totally sure of that? Any chance it could be an even more track focused version of the 296 ie, an even more special speciale?

To me this has lost a degree of elegance that cars like the Pista and 458 Speciale had. Credit to Ferrari though because these press pics are much better than the ones used on most of the cars its launched in the last few years.

Despite its lack of elegance to my eyes I am in no doubt this will be a stunning car to see in person.
