You didnt, the issue was bad enough for you remove the shafts in the first place, normal people only do that when there is something seriously wrong..... so when they go south again you will have done it twice...........

Well there you go assuming again. I did not disassemble them because of any problem.

As far as the Dino having an entirely unique CV design.....they don't.

You really aren't getting it. I've done a ton of work to my car for performance and weight reduction. This was weight reduction.

-They were disassembled to replace the solid axle bar with a hollow one. Yes that would be for weight reduction

-They were then re-assembled and swapped sides because of the drive side being highly polished and the decel side was not as I previously explained.

Is it a competition car? Usually, rifle barreling axle shafts is for very, very high performance. A 355, unless a race version, well....
it is not the most 'race car' unless a piloti comp. version, perhaps, and then, it would not have required anything, no?

I was simply stating what I did and was told "It had to have a problem" as if I was lying and then told sarcasm is unintelligent so being nice in return is not warranted.

They aren't drilled, they are hollow. Formed from heavy wall tubing. They also happen to be the stock shafts from a 360 modena.

Is it a competition car? No, it's a car I drive around. Has a lot of carbon fiber, titanium, headers/exhaust I made, heads I ported. It weighs 2,835lbs and makes 372rwhp.

Not sure why that information is needed in order to not be accused of lying about why I switched CV joints from side to side but here we are.

So now you took 360 drive shafts, fitted them on your car and re-used the old CV joints but then noticed some wear, so decided to carry on without ever stopping to think, hey I am going for high performance parts, maybe i need really good set of CV's joints as well. Nah, I'll just stick with the old ones and flip. Your car!

I'm sorry this is so hard for you. The outer cv's are vehicle specific and have integrated tone rings. There was a polished side and a non polished side, no pitting or abnormal wear so I should replace them?

You make absolutely zero sense. I have no problem spending money on the car but I don't just throw perfectly good parts in the dumpster.

I think you're just upset to realize CV's do not "wear perfectly even". A logical conclusion as they are not loaded evenly.

The inference is that the joints were worn and you swapped sides to save money

now there is no wear.

If you think that means replace then you may as well take the entire car and put it in the dumpster.

Every car would show the exact same thing on their CV's and zero percent of them need to be replaced.

(Edit, I take that back. Not every car. Probably more even CV wear on cars with inboard brakes)

I should have followed Rifledrivers lead on this one once people started alluding to Dino CV's being self-aware and somehow knowing they are in a Dino or otherwise.
