An aftermarket exhaust for mine (sport-cats, not straight piped) will be perfect because when I drive it I’ll want maximum V-12 enjoyment. I live in suburban/rural US, so plenty of space to have a louder than normal sports car. It’ll also be my only V-12 (my other F-car will be my SF90), so switching “to the 812” when I want to experience more audio won’t be an option for me. As far as “ruining” the car, exhausts are easily swapped back to stock at any time. No “ruining” whatsoever.

Maybe not as strong as ‘didn’t like’ but I didn’t really miss it when it had gone. It always felt like it was slightly more cumbersome and not as rewarding as the 812 and the only reason to use it instead of an 812 was because you needed the space. A beefy, man’s car but not as ‘electric’ as the Superfast. The Purosangue seems to respond better than the Lusso and be more fun to drive (it’s subjective, I know). Hope you enjoy yours!

It is a V12 Ferrari and much of the appeal is the sound. Muting the car doesn't make sense. My Urus sounds incredible stock but I added sport cats and now its even better. Same for my G63. Although SUV's they are still sporty and aggressive. I also disagree with Ferrari detuning the car to this extent. It is a heavy vehicle and could use all of the power they can give.

I am not just going to accept whatever they do as being the most optimal for all of their customers. There is a reason the aftermarket exhaust business does so well.

If Ferrari didn't mute the car this wouldn't be necessary. A smile exhaust button or different option would have been great.

The 812 is much more explosive. The Lusso is smooth and tuned to really be a GT. Sometimes where they've calibrated the car lines up so nicely with our preferences, and sometimes, not so much.

Well, I don't work for Ferrari. I'm still looking forward to ours. Just got the allocation up and will be spec'ing this week. My plan is to make it mostly a DD and probably replace the TurboS for that role. Hoping I can get discrete paint and shield delete past my spousal committee! :)

    Haha!

Submitted a spec today. Won’t be completely locked for a while. Bianca Italia with Iroko Interior. No shields.

Mine is also Bianca Italia but with shields and blue media interior and lots of carbon. I did learn yesterday that it is on the water as of 2 weeks ago so I am thinking another couple of weeks.

Interestingly the dealer is still uncertain as to how Ferrari will handle the tariffs. Apparently there is some ambivalence with what they are going to do. I am betting the dealers have told Ferrari that people are backing out so we shall see.

I’m looking forward to hearing how this all goes for you. Please post pictures if you accept the delivery.

Currently, I have spec’d zero exterior carbon. Not sure I will change that or not.

I saw one without the carbon and it looked really cheap to me. Mostly around the wheels is where is doesn't look good. You might want to see one in person first.
