I am considering trading in my 2018 488 Spider for a 2024 SF90 Spider. Looking for any advise and major differences between the two besides updated tech. Haven’t driven the SF90 yet.

Over 300 HP more, four wheel drive, completely different user interface…. The SF90 is leagues apart from a 488!

Both are great cars but agree with Bernie the sf90 is quite different. faster, gripier, and all new interface (pluses and minuses there). 488 has a proper trunk and sounds great.

I would drive one. I went from f8 to SF90, and even though the SF90 is the better car for me, I could see why some would prefer the feel of the f8 or 488.

Do that before deciding. And not just some short drive around the hood.
Its a completely different car and definetely not to everyones liking...

F8 is a huge improvement compared to the 488. SF90 is on another level. I liked my F8 a lot, maybe even more than my sf90 spider even though the sf90 is way faster.

SF90 is 2 generations newer and upper level car, kinda similar to comparing early LP610-4 Huracan to Reveulto. I am very open minded to try new things despite I like older cars with manual transmission. I have had 3 hybrid NSXes 17, 19, and 22 Type S. For a few years NSX was the only hybrid super car available outside of P1, 918, Laferrari. I gone from 17 nsx to 17 488 to 19 NSX, 22 NSX type S, F8, 992 Turbo S, SF90 for daily. Now there are a bunch of hybrid super cars. 296, SF90, Artura, Reveulto, and soon Temerario. All great choices.

I daily driven 488 for 13k miles in just 1 year, really enjoyed the car, I disabled the exhaust valve to keep exhaust valve open at all time.

2021 F8 too was daily driven, similar car to 488, but greatly improved mainly due to far more responsive Pista engine with lighter engine components (lower rotating inertia), most noticeable part is no pause or delay off the line, near 720S level of rolling performance where difference between 488 and 720S is massive. It is far bigger improvement than power bump suggests.

SF90, handling, power, ev like of instant responds is just nuts. Only dislike really is exhaust valve, I get valve controller installed during up coming annual service.

The SF90 is undeniably far faster, but it's also completely different as it's 4WD and the first "mainstream" hybrid Ferrari (so IMHO the integration is not as seamless as in the 296).
While only marginally less quick than the SF90, the 296 is closer to the 488 in feeling - also a lot faster, but with a very similar behaviour (also significantly improved in spite of the weight difference).
To know what you would enjoy more, the best is to drive the SF90 and 296 to make your own opinion.
