It looks like they stole a Williams engine cover...not at all pleasing on the eyes....and somebody actually got paid to design that look...

Beat me to it. I'm truly impressed by how awful they made the livery. The overalls are horrendous as well.

I can't believe that there isn't something they could do better with their money to improve the cars instead of spending it on stupid paint schemes and uniforms.

The same people who have no clue how to build a championship car in almost two decades were clearly given the opportunity to design the livery. Sort of like letting the guy who lays your sod do your tile work. Wow.

Its a new generation, new clothes, new music, newnpriorities, new principles, what they find fascinating we find repulsive....no going back folks. Automation replaced human airline pilots, screens replaced dials, STEM is dying replaced by useless degrees , etc, etc....its a new world, but far from being a better world.

Ain't that the truth. Get Pete Lyon's book...he's the guy writing for Autoweek in the '70s who made it magic!

    RaceWatch is alive!
Inside the tech system and AI policing Formula 1
    https://www.the-race.com/formula-1/inside-the-tech-system-and-ai-policing-formula-1/

As Formula 1’s on-track complexity has come on in leaps and bounds over recent years, the FIA followed suit in ramping up its own systems and technology to police everything.

With everything now under scrutiny to the tiniest of degrees, there is no room to get things wrong nor miss vital rules transgressions where quick decisions have to be made.

Where once it may have been acceptable for stewards to wait until some video footage of incidents had been obtained hours after the event before making a call - or even not being aware of some blatant rules breaches because they were never spotted by cameras - things are very different now.

The Race has been behind the scenes to see first-hand how the FIA’s ever-evolving race management platform - known as Racewatch - is used to deliver the right information and images to the relevant people in race control and the stewards’ room.

The system makes use of all the CCTV cameras around the track, which means a total of around 60 feeds plus those available from cars, to bring an all-encompassing viewpoint of everything that is happening even when the main international feed is not watching.

Add to that 30+ intercom channels and more than 300 sensors on cars transmitting data every millisecond, and all the information that the FIA could ever need is at its fingertips.

its not hard to make a decent livery. A special one off livery even less so.

It takes effort to make it look this bad.

Ferrari has not won a championship since the year JK Rowling finished Harry Potter and Microsoft launched Windows Vista.

But Ferrari had the most beautiful car.

Now we don't even have that, and one of our drivers is a leftover from Mercedes.

Elkann knows where the business is: tshirts, keyrings and caps.

    Yay

almost everything was in the past.

Back when Ferrari was winning titles they had great cars: 360 CS, 550 Maranello, 599, Scuderia, 599 GTO was in development as was the 458.

    Downside was Windows Vista :p

Cars in general were better, more involving, more exciting.

    F1 was far better.

    Sigh. :(
