https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/singer-reimagined-porsche-911-930-turbo-study/ Guesstimating asking price at approx. $1 million.... Looks pretty.
"More than 70 customers have already signed up to get their own restomodded 911 Turbos." "The Turbo Study uses a new version of the Mezger 3.8-liter, flat-6 engine with dual turbochargers (450+ hp) -- real 911 Turbos didn't get a 3.8-liter engine until the 997 generation." Beautiful car, and maybe if I actually had the money I wouldn't say what I'm about to say, but from my perspective, a Carrera GT is a better use of $1 million.
A clean, no-story CGT is now $1.4 million +/-. I love the new 930 Singer. Damn, that engine compartment is refined! Perhaps, too refined. I can't tell whether the current press photos released of this car are CAD/artist's renderings or actual photographs of a completed car. I hope we get to see a proper road test for the car, including full specs and test results, as that would be truly interesting, IMHO. However, given the fact that all of these bespoke machines are already spoken for, I fear a true test may not take place.
very nice car: 930 is the best looking Porsche 911 ever and Singer has a good taste. This said, I do prefer an original 930 turbo 1989 model five speed, that costs much less too. Ciao
i like looks of the non turbo singer much better esp the one with the williams engine. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Awesome up close look at the new Singer Turbo Study! Big time car guy and lead singer for Jamiroquai, Jay Kay, is also in that group checking out the car. Maybe he'll release 'Cosmic Girl 2023' based on this car.
4 M for a fake 930: in my opinion that's an insanity. You can buy a very good original 930 for 150 k, then do a 100 k fullrestore and you will have a like new car for 250 k: this fake can't worth 16 times more than the original, in my opinion. And the original 930 is a piece of history: this Singer isn't. Ciao Image Unavailable, Please Login
even if the Singer turbo costs "only" 1 M, at 300 K there is the official Porsche 992 turbo 50th edition, who has 200 more HP than the Singer turbo and it's a present day car. If you like the vintage, there is the original 930. This Singer is an Hybrid nice to see and it kooks very well done, but not as nice as the real car.
