Hi all - just a huge thank you to all you fantastic knowledgeable guys on FerrariChat - all working normally - roof elastics kit on its way but I have just manually assisted the soft top foldaway and it now completes the stowing of the roof and closes the rear humps bit and lifts the flaps and also beeps on the dashboard that all correct with the roof operation.
Still got to install the elastics but shows you were correct in your diagnosis of the roof elastics failure.
It’s a fabulous evening in south of England (UK) so I’m off for a celebration drive with hood down to sunny Brighton.
    Thank you all once again

Great job! Glad you got everything sorted. It's a beautiful day in the mid-atlantic US so I made up an excuse to drive to the grocery store and get gas!

Mmm. I’ve spent half n hour checking the roof elastics. Conclusion - I think elastics not perfect but the centre cross bar is being folded flat - I think the soft roof is a bit tired and not folding up quite enough to trigger the stowed away correctly microswitch.
After a bit of manipulating the roof folds it seems to be stowing away correctly and so completing the roof opening cycle.
Is there some reconditioning unction I could treat the black soft top with to make it more in condition?

I think it's like pants. If it's use to folding one way, it will continue to fold that way as the material gets weakened at the fold marks. I think you just need to "train" it back to fold correctly by ensuring it goes down properly each time. Also, don't forget the elastics are all in the headliner so you might not be seeing the whole picture. They could be weakened but still work slightly. I would recommend using your hand to push the first bow backwards as it's folding. But first, push back on the window as it starts to make sure it pokes backwards.

Might hot water work? When fitting the canvas, some folks use hot water to stretch the canvas. I mean slightly cooler than boiling water.
figuring out how to apply it over such a large area is the hard part… and do you stow the roof when it’s wet to get it to stay in the new shape?

Parking it stowed on a hot day would help as long as it's folded correctly. I wouldn't use hot water and definitely not store it when it's when wet or else risk mold growth.

Treating the top should be done with 303 or Raggtopp protectant

Good idea. Perhaps there is even enough heat transfer from the engine bay to do the same job on colder days.

    Thanks guys.
The only remaining issue now that the new Windows ECU change has brought the car back to life - I have a No Cal tyre message on dashboard.
It had same message about a month ago and I’ve accurately set the pressures all round and pressed the under edge of dashboard button then driven for 20 miles but doesn’t go away. Guess it’s either the tyre pressure sensors (no idea what type) or the monitor. Is it possible to read any info on TPMS with code scan to locate fault?
