Almost all the GTB’s are in the low 300’s. Most cars are fine- especially when properly charged. Problems cars are the exception.

don't worry about that. most are good. check svc records. unlike the mclarens of old that tanked and had gremlins these cars are just victims of a post covid economy not because of themselves. cars are phenomenal. phenomenal driving machines. obliteratingly fast and nimble. in the future they will be steals. cars are only going to get more expensive and complex. they cannot keep dropping at the same rate. it is counterintutive and inorganic. the new audi a6 will now cost nearly 80k base. a loaded one nearly 100k. the 296 will not drop any further. the market itself will not allow it.

I remain smitten. The 296 is phenomenal. It is so much better than everything that has come before it (speed, handling, steering, breaking, solidity and size- just so much more nimble).

When it comes to a sports car for the road its more usable and its’ ability to make usable horsepower almost defies physics. It’s wholly entertaining and feels hardwired to my brain. Sound is good- and more than good enough. Wow. What a bargain

Maybe a little of both, but more of the latter. Truth is, asset values have exploded, inflation has ripped, the Ferrari buyer has done well post-COVID, the high end car buyer has mostly made money (or broke even) on their several purchases so they have a mental cushion going into the next purchase.

Another point worth mentioning too, is that Ferrari mostly stands alone in its competitive group. McLaren has faded, the performance gap has expanded between Porsche and Ferrari (I’m not referring to track performance, but rather street performance), and Lamborghini’s new offerings are super portly. Ferrari does not have much competition and I say that as a guy that loves all brands and have owned them all. The Ferrari brand has strengthened in recent years.

I was the winner of the 24’ 296 GTS on Bring a trailer. I was honestly shocked I won that under 400k. I was in the market to buy one and I was even at the dealership test driving it. Showed my friend ,who was selling me the car, the auction and he told me to start bidding. Owner came out and made sure the specs were great and we were cheering for it. Great day to win an auction.

It is a 2024 and not even broken in and currently under warranty. Being sold from authorized dealer is not going to raise the price $40K. At least not to anyone with half a brain.

Congrats! I was the seller, the car is amazing, so happy it’s going to a good home. I’ll make sure you get the box and model, the model is already at the dealer. DM if you have any questions.

The car is absolutely amazing but I didn’t realize it was such a rocket, I like slower cars for the street like a 400 hp NA 911 or my 575. I am so impressed with the 296 I’m shopping for 296 challenge car to add to the 488 challenge that I still race. I feel like on the track all that power can be used. Obviously the challenge car has less power than the street car because of the lack of electric motors. There are bunch of lightly used 296 challenges in the $350k-$400k range. Maybe I’m also getting old because I found all the modes a little fiddly. I know all you youngsters like all that stuff, so it’s more of a younger car maybe.

That would be fantastic. Thank you. I read about why you didn't like it. I loved the new modes and how techy it was. This is right up my ally. Thank you for such a good Spec.

Ok please don't take this wrong because I have a 296gts on order and also like "slower" street cars (my daily is a 355 hp NA 911) and I really want to know the answer. You mention you didn't realize that the 296 was such a rocket but it had double the power of the cars you like and it was widely reported that the 296 was blistering fast. Was there something on paper that you liked that the experience did not live up to? I only have about and hour and a half seat time in the 296 and it was a rocket but also cruised nicely as well. Very honestly curious on this as I wonder if I won't be in the same situation as you after I get it. Thank you kindly.

@3POINT8 Funny you mention power. I've noticed when pulling away around 70 mph in 8th in auto say like wanting to pass some trailer trucks, when pressing the accelerator it won't immediately downshift, but instead the blue boost indicator comes on. The throttle response seems non immediate but the funny thing is when I look in the rear view the truck I just passed looks so small.
